Welp, that took a while.
I really wasn't sure what you would have liked, Terra, but I tried my best.
Although.... I believe this was a dog when I first started sketching it. Looks more like a dragon now.

I ended up using all the color scheme suggestions, dark, grayscale, natural, and rainbow.
{A feat I never thought I'd be able to acomplish}
The things I chose on the likes list were short fur, galaxy theme, slender body, red eyes, horns, stripes (of course), and some glow.
So basically I tried craming it all into one simplistic design, which I think I managed quite well.

As for why I chose this weird creature design...
I sort of of thought of feirce elegance, and intricate mysteries.
So I tried to incorperate that into this wandering creature of space.
I like to think that it's gascious trails react like oil, black in true nature but reflecting many colors.
But, that's just my whacko artistic interpretation, you can interpret it as however you like ^^'

I am so relieved you like it, I was worried it would not be to your tastes. ^^;
Also, I could not think of any items or accessories or anything to go with the design.
I am pretty stumped as to what such a thing would even wear-
But I guess that'll leave some fun for you to decide on~

It actually fits my tastes perfectly! It even has a tail-tip!(The end of the tail is differently colored then the main body color.) I also love the idea you have about it.
