To get it vertical, go to the tool bar and find the button with two boxes and two arrows. It's second row, second column. Use it to make it vertical!

I seem to be experiencing issues flipping it, so I assume it is due to what Kiwi In a Bottle is saying I need to figure out how to update it >.<
