A glowing light painfully brought Nimblecreek out of her sleep. Morning had come too quickly for the young she-cat. But upon opening her eyes, the warrior was not met with sunlight, but instead, a brightly glowing yellow... thing. It wasn't a lightning bug, Nimbecreek had seen many of those bugs in her short life time. If not a creature... what was it?
With slow and steady movements, the young cat got to her four paws, lightly shaking some of her nesting from her gray-brown pelt. As she moved, so did the glowing orb. The closer Nimblecreek tried to get to investigate, the farther the orb backed out of the Warriors den. After a glance over her shoulder to her father and mother, neither of which seem bothered by the light around them, she left the den, following the orb out of Riverclan's camp and toward Windclan.
As she walked, Nimblecreek's eyes often strayed to Silverpelt, wondering if Starclan was sending her a message. Or perhaps she was dreaming... yes, that must be it. With a chuckle, the she-cat walked a little taller. It was only a dream and she had nothing to fear from the strange bouncing orb.
Speaking of which, Nimblecreek brought her eyes from the stars just in time to see the orb disappear over the lip of the gorge near the two-leg's bridge. Hesitantly, with the water falls' roar ringing in her ear, she crawled over the edge of the cliff, making her way down to the waters edge by jumping on the small rock hang overs.
The light could be seen hovering in the center of the river, bobbing gently as though it were floating in the very water below it. Bounding from one slippery moon glowing rock to the next, Nimblecreek noticed that the orb was no longer moving away, but was gliding around gracefully mid-air.
Nettlecreek's heart plunged as her paws hit the rock that the orb hovered over. Her racing pulse drowned out the water fall as she moved her face within a mouse length of the orb.
That's when she noticed she wasn't alone. The very thought of catching the orb had distracted her so well that she didn't notice the bouncing blue orb just behind her yellow one, and the lit up face of a very confused tom.
A brown and white Windclan tom who was wading around in the river in the middle of the night.
With a gulp, Nettlecreek unsheathed her claws, ready to strike.
The young tom before her opened his mouth quite suddenly, uttering only a few words
"So... you have one too?"
