As soon as I realized that the human I was looking at was the princess, I ran.
"Wait!" I heard her yell, but I didn't stop. She growled in frustration and pursued me.
When I reached the edge of the Nile I wheeled around to face her. The princess skidded to a stop, her eyes locked onto mine. I saw a flicker of fear in her eyes. Then, she ran to me. I panicked and leapt over her. She stumbled, not noticing the drop off at the river-edge.
I watched her for a second as she tried to regain her balance. When it was obvious that wasn't going to happen I leapt at her again. I grabbed a mouthful of her clothes and pulled. The fabric tore, and the princess tumbled into the shallow water below. She sat up and looked at me, a surprised look on her face.
I let the fabric fall from my jaws and onto the drop off's edge. I looked down at the princess with a sheepish expression, and she began to laugh.
