Ok my aim here was to go for realism but it is more like semi-realism and the background sucks yes I know...but I couldn't think what to do for it. So it was coming out great in the beginning but the light dimmed in the creativity section of my brain. So I did an ok job, but I think it could be better. Anyways this was to break back into Oekaki and hopefully things will get better from here. I am surprised that I ever remembered how to draw a horse after all this time, I have been drawing wolves. I would love friendly crits and comments please....
And yes I took that long because I never did realism or semi-realism before, I always did anime or cartoons.


In the facets of my slumber, tucked away in the corners of my mind
I hear the hoof beats of an old friend of mine, he chases the tail of comets
and wonders in my dreams, giving me stories of old days it seems
The whinny of his voice thunders so loud, that it has the boom of lighting, as it claps through the clouds

He is the animal spirit that spun a web and entangled with my soul
reminding me to keep my freedom and spirit high, as he travels through space and time
No one may break me, no one will ever reach that goal

Right from my imagination and into my dreams, from all he has woven, so magical it seems
Stars that flicker across the moon lit sky, is the comet dust trail that he left behind
Though there may be two sides of me, the predator may chase, but it is truly the horse that wins this race

So what is chasing comets and weaves into your dreams
Can you wake the inner beast as it paints your sky
do you have questions and wonder why
What drives you, what animal gives you the high...

Thank you chicken it means a lot coming from you, it is important to improve and you know that as much as anyone. If anyone else isn't impressed than that is fine by me but what I am proud of is that I impressed myself. I proved to myself that I am capable of doing more. I hope to muster up the energy to finish this piece, I am feeling a little lazy at the moment.
