this is kind of hilarious. i think just the picture gave away it was a joke at all wowowow guys wow
people flock to things that look like someone is uneducated because they feel that its the only way to make themselves feel better. i know it. ive seen it.
people automatically assume people are stupid by the tiniest of things like a misplaced sentence that made it seem like they didnt know some basic function of the site, or that someone makes an unbelievably silly post on oekaki seeming to not know anything about the program, trying to help them improve by being nice, but doing so while being so transparently backhanded it makes me sad.
the fact that people talk like this to people who really arent the best at drawing yet makes me sad. like they cant tell your "nice try" isnt really for the best intentions. its a consolation prize that makes yourself and only yourself feel better because in your mind you just helped some poor idiot. people arent idiots just because they dont know certain things or because theyre not the best at some things. ignorance is not the same as idiocy.
so yeah this was a joke but i think it speaks to some degree about what people say to others on this website especially from the comments made on it by others not in on the joke. they were either horribly rude or just incredibly condescending.
anyway that was my 2 cents and i guess it was kind of uncalled for but i think i needed to get this out because ive seen things like this all too often.
