Symphony of Science

One word. Feathers. I hate feathers. They were just being so difficult on this drawing. I would've loved to do a lot more feathers, but they were proving problematic. I had to redo the feathers twice, once because they looked horrible, and again because my computer decided to die and I forgot to save it. DX But I got over it and finally, finally finished this thing. Shading is sort of bleh, because the Oekaki doesn't seem compatible with my usual method of shading. But I'm actually pretty satisfied with it.

Well, what else can I say? It's a dinosaur. Not any specific dinosaur, just a general dromeasaur. I was looking through my measly gallery and noticed all my drawings were generally profile pictures. I figured it was high time to start doing more of what I love: drawings with action. I really wanted something that launched off the screen, and grabbed you and shook you, and said, "rawr". And I almost achieved that, I think.

I see a lot of things I'd like to improve, but I am so tired of this painting. So I'm gonna leave it as is for now. EDIT: Just noticed the timer. I can't believe I spent 7 hours on this thing. Yeah, that's fairly accurate; take about twenty minutes or so off for snack breaks and things.

Comments and critiques greatly appreciated. Really, I would love some advice on how to improve.

I am so in love with this drawing. Dinosaurs are such fascinating, exquisite creatures. They need more art on Chicken Smoothie. Actually, the Velociraptor is my very favorite animal...

Anyway, I love the emotion you captured into it. The eyes are portrayed so perfectly in this. It's just so- so flawless. The vivid colors really punctuate the feel to it; make it sort of eye-popping, you know? It's beautiful. The teeth, the background, the position, the shading, the highlighting and the teeth.

I'm so jealous of you. So, so, so, so jealous. You did the wonderful world of these giant lizards so much justice, it isn't even funny. I would love to be able to make Velociraptors, or any dino, and have it look like a reptile.

This is my single favorite drawing on CS period end of story. Thank you for making this!

Well, you're welcome Distant_Hybrid, and also thank you both! ^^ I don't really think it's that great, but I tried my best and it turned out pretty good I think. There definitely needs to be more dino art on CS. You hardly ever see any.
