And as the sun was low, covering the sky in purple, red and orange colors, everything was touched by a golden shimmer. The world seemed to be made of gold. The mountain air was filled with the smell of summer, and Leeto could feel the harmony and peace that was suddenly all around him. Everything seemed to stand still in this moment. The golden light of the setting sun made Leeto's red eyes sparkle, and as it streamed over his black coat it seemed to melt into his gloden markings. As he stood still and looked up to the sky, watching the breathtaking spectacle taking place right above him, an eagle flew by. The black silhouette stood hard against the orange sun, yet they formed a perfectly harmonic picture, just like Leeto's golden markings were in harmony with the black color of his coat. While the eagle passed by, his piercing call filled the air. And in this moment, Leeto felt that he was one with the cosmos that was surrounding him.

Yay, it's finally finished! ^_^
I can't describe how awesomely epic it feels when you have a picture in mind and when you draw it it turns out just like you imagined it - or even better. That was the case with this piece. It show's my beloved WME boy Leeto watching an eagle's flight during a mountain sunset. I'm very proud of how this turned out, since the perspective was kind of unfamiliar and challenging for me. I tried to capture Leeto's character traits - he's a pretty "royal" boy, proud with lots of passion, but very gentle and loyal.
The timer is off as I was idle several times (multitasking as always). ^^
