To clear your suspicions I am drawing from a horse at a side view, its just a little magazine snippet, I posted it now so you could see
Thank you for your advice, I think I will try to improve it to your standards if I can ^^ It was really kind of you to say all this stuff, it means a lot.
Wolfie.
Ohh. Well, that ref helps a lot more. c:
It looks as if it's not really a side view though. He looks like he's tilting his head slightly, because of the placement of his eye and what looks like the underside of his face. I'm not too sure though, because the picture's really dark. :$
What I forgot to mention before was the fact that the forelock should not be that long. It's not that long in the picture either. Also, the colouration. The horse is a bay, and bays are tricky. They have so many shades of light brown, dark brown, black, and whatever else they have in there. Your horse is moer of a dun colour, I think. Maybe if you brightened the brown I tiny bit and darkened it where it's dark brown? I have to say though, the bay in the picture is really dark. ouo
I can see the ears though, and I guess I was wrong, haha.
Another this is the mouth again, the bay in the picture has a nice sloped mouth. Which means your nostril was the right size after all. I think I was probably thinking about arabians and their big nostrils when I thought the nostils should be bigger.
Oh, and the neck is a little bit too curved. I was going to comment on that, but I didn't know what ref you were using, or what position, so I didn't say anything, since I see a lot of horses with pretty curved necks. This one sort of has a little curve in the neck, but yours is a bit more exaggerated, if that makes any sense. And since we're on the topic of necks, your horse has a rather thin neck. What looked like hair at first glance turns out to be part of the neck. c:
k , but I still can't get over how pretty the shiny part of the neck is . ;-;
Oh , and congrats on your new art stalker . :')
How does it feel ? Because I've never had one and I'm curious . :0 /cuzyouknow,I'mweirdlikethate_e
