For crits, here's a good reference before I get started and confuse you. ouo![]()
I'd say that the cheek should come forward a bit more. It's a tad too narrow. Unless of course, you're drawing a horse that that is angled differently. It looks as though you're drawing it from the side view, but I could be wrong . |D
Anyways , all these crits are coming from the assumption that the horse head is a side view.
So.
The forehead's an odd shape. Horse heads are usually a straight line, with a slight curve to it. But it's usually all curvy. Like an arabian for example. The top of a horse's ears is quite thing, so maybe you could thin the top down a bit and then make a base a bit wider ? c:
I really love the eye you did. It's quite pretty(:
But , horse eyes are more of a triangle shape. Your horsie also need eyelids, haha.
If you were to make the cheek a little less narrow, the middle of the face would be a little too short , so I'd suggest making the face longer too. Also, for the mouth, it's way too high up. The nostril is also a bit small, I think. The ref should give you a pretty good idea of what i mean, I think.
All in all, I love your shading. Especially on the face. :') <3
