This was from a roleplay I did with my pal Kitsu, specifically of a truelly epic pokemon battle the pair of us had between our characters(My Rinn with her Ninetails named Fhir, and her trainer Kitsune using her Lucario named Rio)
'Journey'; Pokemon B&W Roleplay; Ninetails vs. Lucario wrote:"...You did well." she praised, calling the unconscious Ninetales back into its pokeball, tossing out the final one. "Rio... show them that battles aren't just about power. Aura."
"Cari!" the bipedual fox landed, snarling. Her eyes a pale grey, unfocused. Blind. And yet, she seemed to know exactly where Fhir was. "Cario..." she dropped to all fours, glaring at Fhir.
Without even recieving a command, Fhir rushed forward using Quick Attack again with amazing speed, even for Quick Attack and slammed hard into Rio using Return, it's powerful bond with it's trainer making this move very strong.
The lucario snarled, biting down on Fhir's fur in responce to the harsh move, climbing onto her back and digging her claws in to keep a grip.
"Rio!" Kitsune called out, the lucario firing a dark pulse, continuing to keep her grip. Her eyes chaged slightly, becoming sharper even though they couldn't see.
"Extrasensory!" Rinn commanded, Fhir blasting the Lucario at point blank with it and knocking it off. "Flamethrower!"
Aiming at the airborn Lucario, it blasted a wave of fire at it.
"NIIIIINE!"
"Aura sphere!" the blind fox fired the attack directly into the center of the flames, flipping over in the air and landing on all fours, barking at the fire fox and launching a barrage of the spheres.
Fhir leapt up into the air without command to dodge the attack.
"Disable!" Fhir's eyes glowed before it blocked out Rio's ability to use Aura Sphere.
It changed attacks rapidly, the aura sphere barrage turning into a Dragon Pulse one.
"Get ready!"
Rio tensed, apparently preparing for another attack.
As soon as Fhir landed it rushed forward using Quick Attack again.
The Lucario phased out of sight, reappearing leaping from one floating tile (still magnetized by Jolt's discharge) to the next, phasing between each one. Even before she reached the top, another barrage of Dragon Pulses and Flash Cannons were raining down on the field.
"Seven." Rinn muttered, Fhir leaping up into the air using its Quick Attack, and at the same moment its tails glowed with Iron Tail and using its momentum, it sumersaulted straight up in the air, it's Iron Tail breaking through any attacks that reached it and landed on top of one of the floating tiles and immediately using Quick Attack, appearing in much the same way as Lucario as it almost seemed to teleport to the tiles as it moved across them, matching it step for step across the floating platforms.
Rio growled, glaring at the other fox, disappearing again and reappearing at a different set of tiles.
Following suite, Fhir appeared on a tile just near it and whirled around on one paw, striking at Rio with Iron Tail before leaping away to further tiles.
It phased just before the attack hit, reappearing in the air and firing a flash cannon.
"Fhir, the tiles." Rinn said, Fhir's tails glowing with Iron tail before it leapt from one tile to the other, destroying them as it leapt to the next and its tails smacked down behind it and limiting Rio's aerial movements, at the same time workings its way closer with Quick Attack.
"Rio! Go!" The lucario used the same extreemspeed it had been using, slamming into Fhir, firing another Flash Cannon at point blank.
Fhir twisted around into the air and managed to land on a tile, at the same moment firing Inferno at Rio as the opposing pokemon used Flash Cannon.
Rio used the explosion to dodge the attack, landing. The disable finally wore off and she fired an endless barrage of Aura Spheres.
Fhir, not entirely dodging the blast but the fire from it activating Flash Fire, used the explosion as a cover to leap down and use Dig, disappearing underground while the explosion cloud was still thick in the air. The smoke only cleared enough to see that Fhir had disappeared seconds before it appeared behind Rio again, using Quick Attack to speed up it's movements as it once again surfaced and tackled Rio from behind(not the move Tackle mind you) even as flames danced across its pelt and it released a concentrated Overheat.
Rio growled, wincing as the attack brushed its fur. Then it spun, surrounding itself with Aura.
The flames were deflected but at the same moment, Fhir used Iron Tail, easily breaking through the spinning Aura Sphere and hitting Rio hard.
A yelp as it was sent skidding, quickly finding its feet again.
Using the moment to it's advantage as Rio skidded, Fhir rushed toward it with Quick Attack, it's tails glowing again in preparation for Iron Tail.
"Go!" Rio charged foreward, slamming into Fhir head-on with extreemspeed.
Fhir stumbled a step back with a flash of pain before Rinn smirked.
"Got you..." She said at the same moment Fhir lunged forward and bit onto Rio, using Inferno at point-blank.
The Lucario screeched, immediately sending off waves of Aura Spheres, struggling to survive the attack as the burn and type advantage ripped through her.
The fired Aura spheres hit and caused damage, that much was obvious, but Fhir's jaws stayed locked around it's opponent line a steel trap.
"One," Rinn stated with a smirk, it's Inferno attack ending and becoming Overheat, flames enveloping them as, at the same time, Fhir spun swiftly in place with Quick Attack to fuel her movements, creating a large swirling orb of intense flames and making it near impossible to aim Aura Sphere accurately. After spinning around several times, having gained a good momentum, Fhir shot straight up still spinning, the flames following around both like a twister before the momentum up slowed to a halt from gravity, and brought them both back down, the fire twister colapsing in on itself and, Fhir released Rio, only after they had come back to earth and it used it's momentum and weight to slam the Lucario into the ground, with a Flamethrower that once again enveloped them in flames before she leapt back, small whiffs of flame still sticking to her pelt and flickering toward non-existence.
How the lucario got up after that was hard to say, until she looked up, both eyes bright green, and a pained groan escaped Kitsune and a burn appeared in the reletive location of where Rio had been bitten. The fox snarled, firing off a series of powered up, sped up Aura Spheres and Flash Cannons in rapid succession.
Without a word from it's trainer, Fhir leapt out of the way of the attacks nimbly, first from one, then another, and those that came close she used either Extrasensory or Iron Tail to meet the attacks. Leaping forward with Quick Attack, it phased out before the nearing attacks could hit as it made a beeline for Rio.
The bipedial fox phased out as well, a complete Sync in progress. She reappeared on the other's back, launching a park pulse before springing away again and phasing.
Fhir let out a snarl as it was hit before it too phased after Rio, managing to get in front of it and launching an Iron Tail attack towards it from in front, their speed making it harder for the pokemon to dodge from that angle.
The pokemon was sent tumbling back, landing in a crouch and skidding, phasing again and running circles around the fox, Flash Cannons, Aura Spheres, and Dark Pulses homing in on it.
Ninetails leapt straight up with Quick Attack, phasing again up into the air before spiraling down swiftly with Iron Tail to hit most of the attacks away before using Dig as it reached the ground and disappeared.
It followed, diving into the hole readily.
Fhir had disappeared into darkness, an entire web of tunnels inter-connecting underground from the various different pokemon that had used Dig. Kawaii, Chibi, Midna...and now Fhir. The Ninetails herself had disappeared into the darkness, and could have taken any number of the underground tunnels.
Luckily, the Lucario could see Auras... not that that was helping much, as it was more difficult to get a proper reading when there wasn't a sense of distance.
"Rrr..."
Despite the Lucario's power of reading Aura's, there didn't seem to be any sign of Fhir as it travelled through the underground tunnels. After it had traversed some of the tunnels, the openings narrowing partway, parobably from a smaller pokemon like the Rattata digging earlier, and with nary any room for manueverability, Fhir burst up from the ground right below Rio's paws, bringing it's entire body up to crush Rio against the cieling of the tunnel with it's near equal size. It had not come up from another tunnel but had dug out a small pit just big enough to fit itself with a couple inches of dirt layered over it, giving it just enough room to stand without being crushed and trapped again the floor like Rio was now trapped against the cieling.
The second it had Rio pinned she unleashed Inferno at point blank, before flames started to flicker across her pelt that soon flickered to life as Overheat.
Twin screams, one from Kitsune as she suddenly hugged herself tightly and nearly collapse, phantom burns appearing across her skin, the other from Rio as if struggled against the trap, firing off rapidly weakening Dark Pulses that didn't seem to be focused on hitting Fhir... it was more like...
Fhir could feel the shift in earth seconds before it started to collapse, using the partially dug fox-hole to dig it's way deeper even as it let Rio go from it's trap. It didn't need to dig deep, the hole already partially dug, and rather than digging down, it went a little down and then over, digging a sort of pocket even as earth cascaded down to them, the sound of tons of falling dirt roaring in her ears. Her tails were caught, and hindquarters partially caught, but once the ground had settled it wasn't so bad as to keep her from being able to move with a bit of digging. It was unlikely that Rio had managed to escape it very well without Dig, and the Ninetails used that to make it's way back to the surface, not leisurely but not too quickly either. When it came up it's fur was colored faintly with brown and it shook itself off, gazing across the field and waiting to see if Rio would surface as well.
It took a long while, Kitsune on her knees, panting and holding the burns, trying to soothe them, and a still silence other than that. And then a Flash Cannon ripped through the pavement and Rio weakly struggled her way out, unable to stay standing for more than a few moments. It clearly couldn't battle any further.
Victorious, Fhir shot a Flamethrower into the air before shaking itself off and returning to Rinn's side.
