I don't know about snouts, but about paws I do ^ ^Basically, paws are made up of four toes. The two toes on the extreme left and the extreme right are always smaller than the ones in the middle. So if you're doing a view straight on, it would look like this /_|-|-|_\ with the toes on the right and left smaller. On a side view, only three toes would be visible - The smaller toe on the extreme right/left, the middle one nearest to the way we're looking at it, and maybe a slight bit of the one after. Never the smaller toe on the otherside.

As for the snout I always seem to have it at an angle. If I was going for a front view I'd angle the eyes frontward and have the snout angled a bit to side as if the animal was looking at you but has his snout another way.
