Flickerpool's gaze turned towards Fadedstar, shocked by the warmth in the depths of his amber eyes. "Fadedstar?" she meowed quietly.
"Yes, Flickerpool?" the handsome leader replied, tipping his head lightly to the side. Flickerpool looked at her paws then back at him, love gleaming out of her eyes.
"Be with me. Love me," she meowed, her voice strong and warm. She closed her eyes and opened them wide again when she felt his warm, dark tabby fur against hers. She blushed, taking a deep breath of his strong, dreamy scent. "You love me back?"
"Why wouldn't I?" he asked with a purr. Flickerpool began to cry lightly, tears of longing joy. SHe closed her eyes and smiled.
"I've been waiting for you to say that," she purred. "My whole life." She rested her head on his shoulder, hearing a purr in his throat. He licked her on the forehead and embraced the medicine cat...

Then FLickerpool woke, looking at Fadedstar beside her. She sighed. Her ear flicked, hearing Echosong's puffing. Bad dream, I'm guessing. Mine was the one you never want to leave... She looked at Fadedstar and smiled with a purr. Oh, Fadedstar, when will you see how much I love you? How much I want to be close to you? She licked the rim of his ear slowly, and looked back at Echosong.
