I feed this Aegolius a small worm chopped up in pieces and then give it some apple juice spray, waiting until some has soaked in before cleaning the outside of the egg off so it is not sticky. then I warm up the blanket and wrap it around the egg to keep it warm. "sweet dreams little egg, dream of growing strong and beautiful." I say before I leave.

I spray nut oil on the outside of the egg, waiting for it to soak in , nuts do not leave sticky mess but leave the egg nice and glossy while feeding the baby. because it is getting bigger i also give it some chopped up worm. I hold it for a while and talk to it of owlish things then whipe it off and rewarm the blanket covering it up for warmth.

today i feed her some baby crickets today, these are small enough to fit in her beak but large enough to fill her tummy quickly. then i tell her the story of the old barn owl that was in my grandma's barn and i swear i feel the egg wiggle with a giggle when i tell it that it scared me by hooting over my head! i clean the egg and rewarm the blanket then wrap her back up. "Ill see you later" i say smiling.

i feed her some bits of apple and move the egg so that I may clean the area of any bits and pieces so that they may not go bad. I use soap and water so that she will not get sick from the smell. then i feed her chopped up worm and reheat the blanket and talk to her of owl behavior.wiping my humaness off the egg before I put her in the warmed blanket, "Ill check on you later." i say heading out the door.

I spray my girl egg with a fruit and worm blend and let it soak in, then clean the outside of the shell so it isnt sticky, holding her in my arms I sing a soft song. then re warm the blanket and place her back inside it. "goodnight sweetheart."

I feed my Aegolius small pieces of grape and some pare then a chopped up worm. i reheat the blanket making it nice and warm for the egg and wraping it back inside of it," sorry for spending so little time this morning, hopefully I'll be able to make it up later."

I appologize for not comming to see you for a day, I had been busy and that shames me. I feed her extra worms and apple pieces polishing her shell and reheating the blanket, singing softly as i do so, hoping she will forgive me. I leave reluctantly, promicing to be back tomorrow.

i chop up nuts, worms, and apples in a blender and coat the outside of the egg with it letting it soak inside for a while. then clean the egg off of left over stuff. I read a story to her about flying then heat the blanket back up and wrap the egg back in it.

today i feed her meal worms and some nut powder rolled on them then spray apple juice on her egg and wait for it to soak in then i clean off the extra and make sure she is not sticky, rewarming the blanket and wraping her back in it.
