Wow Friday-the-13th. I just read yours, it was epic. I'm afraid that I don't have a chance against you!

What are you talking about? I've read yours too, and it's great! I'm terrible with dialogue, so I barely included any.

Friday- I didn't think anything was wrong with yours. The lack of dialogue made it more eerie.

I've always told my friend to 'break a nose' because I never really understood that it was bad luck to say 'Good luck!' and good luck to say bad things. XP Ahhh.... good times, good times....

Here's my entry

“The old man said if I can do this, my sister will be restored to me” a young boy muttered to himself as he tried to start a fire.

“Boy!” the old man had croaked, “If you truly wish to call your sister back from the realm of the dead listen carefully. It won’t be easy and there will be many sacrifices you must make.” “It doesn’t matter,” the young boy had declared, “I’ll do anything to get her back!” Nothing will stop him from getting his sister back, nothing! “Very well, if that is your wish this is what you must do.”

“First collect these items in a bag made from a lamb’s hide. The things you must find are, the dew from the petals of a night singer which only blooms on the first new moon of the year, thirteen leaves from the frost tree, the stone of renewal and a piece of yourself as sacrifice. The larger the sacrifice you make the more likely your sister will return. When you collected all the items, go to the most south place in our land and build a fire there. Throw the lamb skin bag with the items in it into the fire and begin chanting “Luaithreach a luaithreach, deannach i deannaigh, ach sa tinte athnuachana, beidh gaineamh a thabhairt ar an saol". As you say these words sprinkle a hand full of sand, taken from the beach around you into the fire. The fire should start smoking and will go out right after. Then go find the bag you threw into the fire. The bag will be split open and inside instead of ashes there will be sand to colour of the night sky. Take the bag and carefully sew it into an egg with the sand inside. The lastly repeat these words again “Luaithreach a luaithreach, deannach i deannaigh, ach sa tinte athnuachana, beidh gaineamh a thabhairt ar an saol". If you have done all that I have instructed correctly, your sister will be returned to you in a new form.”

“Luaithreach a luaithreach, deannach i deannaigh, ach sa tinte athnuachana, beidh gaineamh a thabhairt ar an saol" the boy chanted as sprinkled the sand over the fire. True to the old man’s words the fire immediately started to smoke and go out. The boy walk closer to where the fire was, and in the exact center was the sheep skin bag. It was split open and instead of ashes there was sand, just like how the old man said it would be. The boy carefully picked up the skin and sews it into an egg with the sand inside. When he finished, he sat the egg down in the sand and began to say the words he was taught. “Luaithreach a luaithreach, deannach i deannaigh, ach sa tinte athnuachana, beidh gaineamh a thabhairt ar an saol" just as he finished whispering the last of the words, the egg began to glow...
