Texas Cattle Horses are a very popular breed amongst ranchers and western riders. They are known to have a perfect temperament for herding cattle, as well as great stamina and average speed. They are preferred for western riding and are perfectly fit for ranch work and trail riding, though some english riders recently started to be interested in this breed for their lovely gaits fit for dressage, and their ideal endurance for cross country.
The Texas Cattle Horse's height range is 14-16hh, with an average weight of 1000 lbs. They have a lot of ancestry in common with Missouri Fox Trotters and share their sturdy and graceful build.
