Hello! I'm your professor for Chicoon Figure Drawing, Sweaty. Along with my TA Mango, I'll be facilitating a classroom environment where you can feel comfortable practicing your artistic skills. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask!

Figure Drawing is the practice of drawing the body, or figure. Many artists practice figure drawing in order to refine their skill and develop their understanding of anatomy. In this class, we will be focusing on Chicoon anatomy and drawing the Chicoon figure!

Every day, Monday through Friday, there will be a pose provided by me for you to draw a Chicoon in. By completing your assignments, you will get to claim a booth item of your choosing! Class does not meet on the weekends, but there will still be an opportunity for you to participate in the booth :)

A Standard Drawing includes a Chicoon's full body. It can be sketched or lined. There is not any color.
An Advanced Drawing includes a Chicoon's full body. It must be lined and colored. It can include shading if you want!

If you want Extra Credit, draw one of sweathie's or crowthefrostyfloof's Chicoons with the 'figure drawing' tag!

The "Standard" and "Advanced" critera have nothing to do with your assumed skill level. Figure Drawing classes function for artists of any level to convene and develop their skills. New and seasoned artists will be treated equally in this course!

You can draw any Chicoon for your assignments. This can be the same Chicoon for each one, or a different Chicoon every day!

Hello Class!

There's been some confusion about this course's Extra Credit policy. Initially, my intention was to have you all draw the same chicoon for both your daily assignment and extra credit (one drawing total). I thought this would be easier on everyone, since you'd only have to make one drawing!

However... maybe I underestimated you all. Some people contacted me and seemed willing to do two drawings instead! So, I figure I should revise my policy.

For Extra Credit, you can choose to draw the same chicoon for your daily assignment (one drawing total), or make a completely new drawing (two drawings total). If you choose to make two drawings, there are no limitations on the quality or finish of your extra credit piece.

Below you will find the pose of the day and key to interpret it! You can use the provided sketch of the pose in any way that will help you. You can reference it, trace it, print it out and chew it up... whatever works for you!

We ask that you don't heavily reference or trace any of your classmates' work. Chicoons University has a no-tolerance policy regarding plagiarism. Obviously, you will all have similar drawings, but please don't copy someone else's work!

You can claim one of the following items for completing a Standard Drawing:

Chunky Charcoal
Adds "Claws [C]" and "Horns [C]". Claws and Horns must be black or off-black.


Pencil Sharpener
Adds "Tail Tuft Edit [C]". Edited Tail Tuft can be any shape, but must end in a sharp point.


T-Square
Adds "Mouth Shape [C]" and "Teeth Edits [C]".


Vine Charcoal
Adds "Sparkles/Particles [UC]" and Markings to a Chicoon. Sparkles and Markings must be small (no larger than the standard pupil), black or off-black spots/freckles.


Conte Crayon
Adds "Pupil Edit [UC]" and "Colored Pupil [NR]". Pupil must be square or rectangular in shape.
