Prompt: monsieur’s (yes, that’s his name, don’t judge him) favourite prey is fish. preferably salmon, but those are rare in the rivers of softclan’s territory. so he would actually take any fish, he’s not picky. he likes the wet, river-y taste of raw fish on his tongue. but it’s not just because of the taste. it’s also because fish holds meaning to him. you see, when he was a kit, he was a kittypet. and the twolegs he loved always fed him salmon. (the premium cat food of all/j) he happily lived with them until he was six moons old.

one day, he heard loud noises from the wind and twoleg voices panicking. the sky was completely gray, and the noises of sirens were in the air. monsieur’s twolegs ran out of the house immediately, carrying small pouches with them. one of the twolegs looked at him sadly, then patted him. monsieur didn’t know what was going on. and then the twolegs got in their car and left.

monsieur was obviously confused and upset. why did they leave him? did they not love him any more?

after the hurricane, everywhere was chaos. so he wandered, looking for his twolegs, but in vain. he hoped they had moved somewhere else. that was when he unknowingly wandered into a forest. he saw a stream and saw all the fish swimming around inside, sunlight bouncing off their scales. he yearned to catch them.

he desperately tried, but just scared them away. until another cat found him. she had asked him why he was there and took him back to the leader.

and he had asked the silliest question ever : “do you guys eat fish? can you teach me how to fish?”
that one question resulted in him becoming a warrior.

but that was alright. he could fish to his heart’s content here.

Mr. Fluffypants, suprisingly, isnt very fond of human food. He may look all posh and perfect but he actually prefers wild rabbit. It's a bit tedious and difficult to catch, especially in the swampy areas of the tribe, but its mouth-watering taste is too good to resist!

When Mr. F moved from his humans, he thought he'd have to say goodbye to the easy life and the cooked rabbit. Atlas showed him differently with the fresh rabbit right at his paws, bigger than him at the time. Who would've thought, huh?

Cram is a bread favored by the shortest species of Twolegs: it’s filling and keeps for a long time, but it’s hard as granite and about as flavorful. Useful for Twoleg adventurers, but no cat with any sense would eat it if there were any other options.

Tiptop is not a cat with sense, alas. Living the most noble life a cat in Waterdeep could have, he has far more gold than sense and an odd perception of taste. To him, meat is too chewy, and certainly too flavorful for his refined palate. Cram is his favorite food, and one of the few foods he will eat.

Of course, cram is a food made for dwarves and halflings, not cats. It doesn’t contain the proper nutrients a cat needs to survive. But Tiptop is undeterred and has hired alchemists to brew potions designed to replace all the nutrients he’s missing without tasting like anything but water.

One has to wonder where he gets the gold for all this stuff…
