📌Puerto Vallarta

One of my personal favorite places to ever visit. Visiting Puerto Vallarta literally changed me physically and mentally. I normally feel so run down and always tired, but here I felt like I was constantly glowing and so excited to do something. I was taken out of my comfort zone and did so many things I probably would have never done and met so many amazing people. I cherished every second visiting this amazing city and can't wait to explore it more this year <3

prompt: St. Petersburg, FL
(Bc someone already took Boston and my other choice was Chicago but this is more unique maybe)

Probably not a notable florida city to most (especially Bc,,, well didney worl) but I really love this place! It’s got a whole downtown area vibe was restaurants, bars, shops, and a small concert venue, and if you’re like me, there’s also baseball here (that’s what baited my family to come visit this area initially LOL). The downtown doesn’t feel too crowded like a BIG city, and it’s also much cleaner than bigger cities. There’s great restaurants, a great ice cream shop, and lots to do. There’s several museums here, most notably, the Dali museum. Even just right outside the downtown is the water and a lovely pier with lots of space for events and festivals. St Pete is bigger than just the downtown area and has lots of nice beaches, and now that I’ve experienced gulf beaches I really don’t like the Atlantic Ocean anymore since the gulf waters are so warm and calm. There’s lots of great wildlife to see too! I may or may not have almost crashed my car while driving around here because I saw pelicans diving and I couldn’t stop watching. I’ve also seen a baby dolphin with its pod try to interact with me and the people I was with standing up at the top of a sea wall thingy. Lots of parks and places to hike and kayak. The kayaking here is great:) it’s really just got the best of everything you could want all rolled up into one. Tampa is overrated, go a little more south instead, I’m glad my family and I did when we came to the area!

I guess it's not necessarily a city, but I am not a "city-girl" by any means. Recently, I went on vacation with my (at the time) boyfriend to his beautiful home state of Michigan where he showed me the most lovely scenery. Instantly, I fell in love with this gorgeous waterfall known as "Tahquamenon Falls" in Paradise, Michigan! As the name suggests, there is more than one waterfall, but this is the larger of the falls and during the fall she is absolutely gorgeous!

Photos are my own personal photos and I do NOT give anyone permission to use them! <3

prompt: This town in Kansas, United States.* As an unincorporated community in the middle of a cornfield, perhaps “city” is a stretch, but the 50 people that populate the sleepy town are my family and dear friends. Although it’s not my own home, it is the place my soul longs to go home to. It’s where my grandparents’ ancestors settled upon coming to the country, and where my grandparents were born, went to school, fell in love, married, and raised my mother. I can only dream of living in the kind of town that gathers nightly to pray for the safety of their only drafted soldier, my grandfather, or the kind of place where you can yell across town that dinner’s ready, and a dozen young relatives will come running. I still try to make the drive once a year, because once you experience the heart of a small town, it’s hard to feel whole without it.

prompt: Rapid City, SD. It's one of the cities where I grew up and I miss it dearly. It's not huge place (tho it is by South Dakota Standards) but it stands as a sort of gateway to the gorgeous Black Hills/Badlands where I spent many summers. It feels like nostalgia and the friends who live there that I miss with all the fondness in the world.

The only way to arrive in this town is by ferry or plane — the anticipation of the passengers is palpable. Many people travel great distances to visit this town's "sister island", so this island is perhaps better known as the little sister who is often forgotten and passed by. However, this town is not lacking in personality — both charming and quaint, cute and small. The cottage dotted town is only 14 miles long, but it seems like an eternity can be spent here. Many authors summer here due to the cool ocean breeze that allows the residents to have no need for air conditioners. The island's nickname is the Grey Lady, dubbed due to the fog that seems to roll in slowly and then all at once. The fog hovers over the beaches, cottages, and boutiques downtown like an old friend. All is quiet, misty, and grey, except for the faint light shining out of the lighthouse. Nantucket, Massachusetts.

prompt:

Chongqing is a city built on the mountain side where they say keep the old, but embrace the new. The beautiful ancient architecture style is kept but they built skyscrapers right behind them and upgraded the technology of the old buildings to be studded with lights, the difference looks like it left from a scrapbook page. There are cable cars within downtown to carry you between buildings, otherwise, you can hoof it between buildings using the +15s. Though beware, it’s easy to get lost! You might be on floor 5 of one building but suddenly cross between buildings and find yourself on floor 22 because of the slant the buildings are made on.
