He had been taught at a young age that nothing was impossible. Thus far, that had proven to be true! But now, he finds himself at a roadblock. He hadn't been in a situation like this before, so how was he supposed to know what to do?
Truth is, he didn't.
He wasn't under extreme pressure. He could procrastinate. Put it off until he didn't have a choice. He had to figure out what he wanted to do right now, and he needed to do that quickly. So he decided to do everything he possibly could. He would never doubt the word of his ancestors, and this is no exception. If it weren't impossible, then he would find a way to do it eventually. Venturing off into the harsh winter, he took some time on his own to reflect and think. It's best to look at things with a clear mind, after all.
"What should I do? What should I say?"
He asked himself this, among other questions. He didn't even know where to start. In the end, he decided to sleep it off, thinking a well-rested mind would help him find the clarity he needed. After all, it would be a new day, and his stressors from the day prior would be washed away. He wandered outside again, looking at his reflection in the water of a nearby lake. He hadn't spoken to this cat in so long, he didn't know if they would even recognize him.
"It's better to get it done and over with than flee and end up living with regret," he thought. "especially when I may never see them again."
Standing up, he began to venture off into the unfamiliar territory. He knew that they had to have been somewhere nearby, but he never truly was given an exact location in the end. All he knew was that they were leaving for good, and soon. As he kept walking, it dawned on him. He had gotten himself lost. For all he knew, he could have been going in circles the entire time in his attempt to find the cat. No wonder they were leaving, when it's such a nightmare just trying to find home in the first place!
Finally, it entered his vision. A small, humble home in the middle of a clearing. The entire place SCREAMED that the cat he was looking for had resided here. He began to approach, nerves finally beginning to kick in. He wanted to run, but he had to do this for himself. Lifting his paw to knock on the door, he realized that it had been open the entire time. He pushed it open, and to his disappointment, the cat was gone. Nothing was left inside, they had left before he got there.
His ancestors were wrong. Things could be impossible; he knew he'd never see them again. He had no idea where they moved to. But that was okay. He accepted this. Even if he may never see this cat again, he learned about how things could be impossible, and that impossibility isn't necessarily a bad thing. It's simply a part of life.
