Wright found himself swallowing hard, as he had a moment to himself. With his affinity for Healing, it did not happen. He supposed he should try and enjoy this time, relax and just... enjoy the silence. Walking a bit outside of his office, he found himself a good spot outside. The moons light shined down upon him, and from his vantage point he could look below at the bustling colony before. He could not help but smile a bit, as he watched the now sleeping place he called home.
Sebastian took anyone in, regardless of background, history, and former clans. It meant that this place was never dull, or without its share of storkatten needing him. In fact... he considered something. Was this the first time he had found himself truely alone? There were no patients to bother him, asking for magic, medicine, or bindings. Sometimes, with the messes this lot got into, all three. And yet, despite that, why was it when he thought of them he still smiled. Why was it despite the fact his whiskers were kinking from all of the stress they gave him... he still felt better when they were around? He could find himself smiling, laughing, or at times maybe a small playful nudge. Maybe. When nobody was looking of course because how undignified for a healer to be seen acting so! He found himself chuckling. Why did he care so much what they thought anyway? Why did he try so hard to make a good impression?
...It was because he never wanted to be alone again, wasn't it? His eyes closed as he thought back to another time, when he was so much younger. With his first clan, when they were attacked by wild dogs who wanted them out. They had never meant to step into the wrong territory, it had all been an unfortunate accident. But the calamity that had happened, it had all happened so fast. He remembered teeth, claws, blood... and bone. He remembered barely being able to see, much less stand. But he did, so he could check on the rest of his beloved clan. He had... he had loved them all so much. But he was not strong enough. He was not smart enough. He was not clever enough. On each and every cat he tried so hard with his potions, his magic, his presence. He gave until he thought he would forever run dry.
...It was not enough.
He remembered standing there amidst the bodies, surrounded but alone. His entire form shuddered at the memory, as he found himself sniffing. His ears twitched back, and he remembered he never wanted to feel so alone again. He vowed to get stronger, to continue with his magic so that such a tragedy would never come to be again. He would become a Healing Paragon, one day. He would become smarter, stronger... and he would be the one to ensure no more would fall under his watch. Alone? Never again. He would not allow it.
