Lottie and Quinn were going to go absolutely bonkers when they found out that they'd been right about who the mysterious letter was from. He was never going to hear the end of it from those two, either.

"I'm so happy to see you again, my friend. I told my children about you and how you helped me get out of that maze, and they've been wanting to meet you." The Chicoon took a seat across from Eyes. "Not that I'm not happy to see you, because I am, but I thought you were going to stay behind and help other Chicoons escape the maze? Did something happen?"

"I can't imagine it has been easy to adjust out here. If you need any help, please let me know. I'm not the most technologically savvy Chicoon out there, but I get by!"

Everett listened to Eyes’ comment about the “high tech” gadgets. “If you need help figuring stuff out, please feel free to ask me. I cannot imagine what it is like to enter this totally new world.” They paused. “Do you have a cellphone? Maybe I could take down your number so we won’t have to communicate via snail mail.” Everett reached for a pen and napkin, preparing to write down Eyes’ number.

Prompt: Stripe was practically jumping for joy upon seeing Eyes, head wings flapping at a rapid pace as they struggled to keep their excitement in check. They take a breath to steady themselves as they take a seat across from Eyes, glancing at the menu. They decide to just get a simple hot chocolate, no toppings. "So, how long have you been out of the maze? You mentioned wanting to stay and tell anyone else stuck in there how to get out..." Stripe pauses for a moment as they rub their left paw with their right, wincing internally at the memory. But they shake it off quickly. After all, Eyes was here and perfectly fine now. "...so did you manage to help anyone else out of there?" Another short pause. "Oh, and how have you and your friends been doing since you got out of there?" They ask, gesturing vaguely towards Eyes' parasites.

Cayde gasped when he saw Eyes, this was the Chicoon from the maze! To be entirely honest Cayde didn't remember much about how he got out, but he had felt a vague sense of guilt and regret when he woke up on his own afterwards, with Eye nowhere in sight.

"It's so good to see you again! How did you get out? You're gonna... Stay right? I've really missed you!"

Cayde's headwings fluttered nervously before he spoke again. "It's been a bit hard for me to remember the maze, everything's pretty foggy... But I never forget a pretty face!" Cayde paused, "Er, faces?"

Tófi cheerfully waves goodbye to Paradox after they guided him to the correct café (they accidentally went to Jamais Brew first before realizing that they’ve never been there before). Stepping inside, he is blasted with the bitter sweet smell commonly found in coffee shops, and felt wide awake without even needing a sip. Looking around there is only one chicoon sitting alone at a table. That must be this mysterious friend, though Tófi doesn’t seem to really recognize them.

Introductions are made before he realizes that he does know Eyes! Sakura was trapped in a crazy maze a few months back and met some interesting characters on her adventure. Tófi relays that Sakura is doing well, though misses Eyes dearly, and he will tell her how to get in contact should they want to meet up with their official friend. Tófi is apologetic that he is not who Eyes is looking for, but would love to get to know them more than just as a tall tale spun by an overactive imagination.

“I’m glad you were able to escape Eyes! I know Sakura was really worried that she left you behind forever! Does this mean that there is a way to go in and out of the maze on a regular basis? That definitely would be helpful for those trapped inside. Your friends are so cool, I’m wondering if I acquire a parasite friend in my tail, would it swim around in there?”

Prompt: “Eyes!!” Onyx exclaims in shock after having seen Eyes again, outside of the maze too. Welcoming Eyes greeting with excitement wile wagging his tail, “It’s so good to see you, and your out of the maze too!” Listening to Eyes response Onyx would think to himself for a moment “Wait, then why didn’t you sign the letter?”

There was a second of silence from Onyx after having heard what Eyes said “Your… stamp? Oh! You mean the stamp that was on the envelope, I must have forgotten about it.” He’d chuckle somewhat nervously, I guess socializing and knowing how to have people read your messages isn’t easy after being stuck in a maze for as many years as Eyes was.

After hugging Eyes again Onyx would join him at the table happily accepting the menu Eyes offered, Onyx would listen to what Eyes has to say nodding when he says they have a lot of catching up to do “Indeed we do. I guess I’ll start us of then, I’ve been doing quite well outside the maze, but before I continue I would like to know how you’ve been now that your no longer stuck within the never ending halls of the maze.”
