Flaws. Now that's something Eve was or has become all to well aware of about herself. Ever since her parasite attached to her it wouldnt let her forget even if she had wanted to. She definitely wanted to. She was greedy, selfish, self-centered, prideful, the list probably continues but she hates to think on it. Yet if she was going to turn over a new leaf, or at least change in some way, she'd have to face all the problems she'd been running from. All of HER problems that grew and festered deep inside of her. It felt like her stomach was churning and her guts were twisting around in knots. She couldn't remember how long she'd been like this. Probably as long as she could bare to remember. The argument of nurture over nature could clearly be in play here. She hadn't met her real parents, or at the very least couldnt remember a thing about them. She wouldnt be able to tell what sort of nature she might have been inclined to, but teeing how she ended up in the slums under the bustling town life, maybe she was meant to take this path. A rotten path of being dumped in the ditches and left to fend for herself. It left her bitter. Maybe it wasnt their intent to do this to her, but here she was all the same.

Her adoptive mother definitely put in the nurture to make her turn towards her greedy side. She was a grifter and thief just like Eve. Even if not biological, the apple doesnt seem to fall far from the tree, or so they say. While Eve never worked up the amount of charm and seduction her mother seemed to thrive off of, she did learn quite a few tricks of the trade from her. Tricks that would empower her to become the underground boss she was. She was taught to think of herself first. It just had to be that way to get ahead in life. Stepping on a few heads was better than drowning yourself. However Eve could no longer seem to save herself from drowning in her new found shame and lost desires. Mother was tough on young Eve, vigorous training to become as good as her. This didnt cause any hate to fester in young Eve. Tough love had its place she guessed. It did cause her to become cold and wary of strangers. It would set in the amount of distrust she grew to have in others no matter how "close" she would think she was to someone. She kept everyone at arms length. She wouldnt let herself be taken advantage of. Alas this flaw would also leave her quite lonely. She would tell herself it was fine. She preferred it this way, but in he recent days since the parasite...maybe she wasnt.

Her parasite wouldnt let her forget her greed either. It often whispered to her like intrusive thoughts. Ones only she could hear, rattling in her skull and leaving herself unsettled in her skin. It drove impulsive behaviors. No matter her fighting it she knew she wouldnt be able to make her changes easily. Between the creature latched on to her neck and the shame she felt in her heart, it would be an uphill battle to change her ways. She often questioned if she wanted to. She thought she did. Perhaps she could become the new Robin Hood. She could stick to thievery but maybe be some sort of hero to people around her. That's the wish right? But was it her wish? Turmoil seems to have set itself in her heart and in her head.

Tree his flaws? Well, he can be quite obsessive over things, sometimes he can't let go. Guess those would be some of his flaws. He is also a little bit insecure, but his parasites help him cope with it.
Oh, he also is really bad at making proper food, he can pick fruit from trees and bushes, but he can not process them in to a mixture of fruits. So he only eats fruit directly from their source or if somebody else made it for him.

Today's Prompt is Flaws! What are your Chicoon's negative personality traits? Are there any skills they aren't good at?

Flaws?! WHAT A QUESTION! LET ME GO ASK! A mystery chicoon puts on a hat, packs up a briefcase and scuttles across the forest, the chicoon seems to be a journalist!

They fly out of a house, opening a map, marking down where they need to go! Running across a field, flopping and hopping over a flourished river, full of frogs, toads, and beautiful fish, there's also a black and green chicoon with a hoard of frogs and toads on top of him, HE hisses when they get too close. Those are HIS toads and frogs! And he MEANS business! So they move on!

They eagerly find the hollowed out tree, they flop and flail and land in the hole,
Sticking out a paw at a HUGE eyeball that immediately sees them

“Hi! I'm here to interview you!” they chime expressively.

“OHHH?!” Eyeball states “A NEW FRIEND?!?!? And one who wants to learn about us?!”

“Yes!” they tip their hat
“And preferably about your flaws! I've been asking all chicoons around me!”


Eyeball slinks from behind oddity, giving a simple nudge to her asleep friend's side, her spikes flicking in a very communicative way “They want to know our flaws” the hissing of Eyeball's voice rasps.
She gently rests against Oddity’s back, nudging him to try and get his attention.

Oddity IS ignoring her on purpose, he dramatically sighs. YES he is annoyed but if EYEBALL wants to do this then HE supposes he’ll give it his best shot! His legs stretch gently and he gently burrows his paws under him in a gentle loaf position.

“Errr ahh? What's the question again?” he rasps and gently yawns, his wings giving a small flap, his feathers bristled in a way that makes him look mad or annoyed, but it's just simply because he doesn't understand other chicoons have body language.. HE WAS born blind afterall


“They wanna Know our names! OH AND OUR FLAWS!!” EyeBall does a gentle wormy wiggle dance, she's hyper and already SO SO happy to talk about ANYTHING!

“Flaws? That's a rather rude question to ask especially when you're getting to know a chicoon!” he retorts quickly and makes a grumpy face, his nose wrinkling as he huffs, he of course also doesn't realize how easy people can ready his expression, he comes off as mean spirited, but it's just him simply trying to wrack his mind for WHY anyone would want to know his FLAWS!? Isn't he already not perfect looking? Maybe they wanna know if he's ugly inside too!

“No it’s okay they're asking EVERYONE the same question” She gently baps her huge eyeball head against Oddity’s, he grumbles gently

“WHY though?” he seems resistant to even try, despite wanting too, it just seems so unnatural to him to open up or talk about himself, he feels embarrassed such a small thing is bothering him so much

“Because why NOOOOOT!!~” Eyeball whines and turns gently

“I'm EYEBALL! AND I'M THE BESTEST FRIEND THERE IS! AND I HAVE NO FLAWS!!” She says incredibly loud, as she is quite excited to talk to another chicoon, not that oddity fails to talk to her, but because she's a naturally curious creature.

“Loud, her flaw is loud” Oddity gains a snarky smirk, and Eyeball dramatically gasps

“WHATTTT NOOOO!~” She giggles loudly, it seems to be just teasing, consensual bullying, and the both of their mood improve when it happens

“Im Oddity” Oddity says, hes fairly well spoken, and DEFINITELY takes his time thinking about his word before even stating them,


“I AM CHARISMATIC! SUUUPER FUNNY~! I'M A GOOD FRIEND!” she squeals
“AND ODDITY IS PATIENT AND A GOOD FRIEND TOO~!” Eyeball screeches, trying to make it known that her friend is the bestest friend ever no matter what anyone says

This rewards her with a little chuckle from oddity

“Eyeball is very enthusiastic, she is the embodiment of Hyper, and yes she's very charismatic!” she smirks

“AND DESPITE being a literal parasite that feeds of of me, id say shes a damn good friend” He says with a smile that makes Eyeballs eye glint with tears, to even HEAR him say that

“I may give her some hardships but id say i also make up for my mistakes” he coo’s happily and stretches out his paws,

“I'M more of a hard bass, i find it pretty hard to open up to chicoons, or for that matter even be around other chicoons, I FIND loud things displeasing, so i dont like when EYEBALL YELLS!” He says ina loud yell

“But for her id endure it” he lifts a paw and pats Eyeball’s head

Eyeball sniffed snarfs “T-That was- Truly beautiful Oddity!” She bursts into tears and hugs his side, he grumbles and pats her more as she wipes her big tears on his side, soaking him, she pulls away

“Thank you!” she says and squishes his face in a hug

“Yeah yeah!” He snorts, he can't see himself smiling proudly “BACK to tha question please!” He says gruffly

“OH YES!” Eyeball wiggles

“YES we’ve named our goodsides! But what are our flaws, Oddity?! What do we do wrong?! You're completely perfect to me so I DOUBT you do anything wrong! It's all me! I'm a bad parasite sometimes!” She yelps and tears up once more

Oddity chuckles “Nah you're just an emotional wreck” he stands and pulls her under himself, sitting on her as if she's just a whittle egg, he HONKS and gets comfy by wiggling. He's sitting atop her like a mother duck.

“I think that question is biased. To you, we seem like ordinary chicoons, well maybe NOT ordinary, but to ourselves we feel as if everything is a flaw. I think it's important to remember that as long as we each try our best every day, we aren't being horrible…. It's not… HORRIBLE to be flawed either, there's a huge miscommunication about that, if everything was flawless we wouldn't have Chicoon-dogs, and that's a hugely yummy snack. Alot of Huge mistakes and flaws make certain chicoons amazing for being themselves. MY flaw is that I don't try hard enough, I'll easily let others step on me, or just not try when I should be, I used to think that was because I was lazy… but I realized that I wasn't trying because I was lazy… I wasn't trying because I was AFRAID of the outcome.. Its so easily to be caught up in that were not good enough… but you ARE good enough” Oddity sighs and pats his crying friend

“You're good enough for me, no matter your flaws, You’re loved, and you matter to me” he gives a gentle nurturing coo, as he pats in gentle circles.

Eyeball is a sniffling snotty mess under Oddity, this doesn't seem to make her not cry?, she finds all of the expression and topic beautiful, so she's unable to stop weeping

“Anyways, sorry to get off topic, I guess the answer to your question is I'm lazy, and Eyeball is emotional, er loud, mmm better give myself another so it's even…. UHhhhhHHHhhhh I’mmmmmm a loner? Guess that's a flaw” he gives a soft chuckle

The mystery chicoon scuttles down all the new information They've just learnt, the sound of pencil and paper is loud as they aggressively write almost everything oddity says t the T, it seems they may be actually going to use these answers for something

“Thank you” the mystery chicoon tips their hat
“I'll be off now! Thank you for the honest report!” the chicoon says and scuttles out of the tree,

Leaving Oddity to sooth Eyeballs emotional Havoc, “its okayyyy!~” he chuckles sweetly as he calms her down


Conclusion: This chicoon is flawed all the way around, but he likes that about himself, and thinks people should be more open and accepting of their own flaws! It's okay to be flawed. Plus Eyeball is a mega big sad bumbling cry baby parasite but that's absolutely okay! Some people cry to everything, it's a bodily response to, too happy or too sad! But that's also okay! It's fine to be a cry baby! Totally not crying at cry babies because of empathy haha ……………………… no

Prompt Response: their empathy is a major flaw. They have a problem with putting themselves in other people's shoes. This makes it easy to manipulate them with a sad sob story. Their heart is a little to big and others alway take advantage of that. They can't help it though. They just want to see the little bit of light in everyone,,, even if there's a possibility there's none there, they still give them the benefit of the doubt. In their profession this has caused them man problems and they have definitely learned the sign of fake and genuine signals. Though, this doesn't prevent them from falling into the same pattern and trying to believe someone.they don't want to loose there sense of good. They has to be real genuine people out there and they will do everything they can to believe that someone can be good.

Prompt Response: Dots biggest flaw is that she isn't very good at letting people in. She doesn't like relying on anyone else, valuing her independence, but this does leave her lonely and without a shoulder to lean on sometimes. She does trust others though, which can also be her downfall - her kindness can be taken advantage of, and she can be rather gullible. Other's also get frustrated with her because she never puts up a fight - she'd much rather talk something through, and if that doesn't work, she might just give in.
She's not really good at anything too physcial, and despite having fantastic musical skills, she actually has two left feet - not a great dancer! Anything too technical is also not her strong suit, she prefers creative things.

With skills, he has a hard time fighting one on one, his endurance and power are limited to short and full-force attacks and not endurance battles." The companion thought for a moment before nodding its head, it believes that is all it could say.

Dolomedes is, surprisingly, a very awkward chicoon. Though he may look a bit intimidating, he's really just trying his hardest not to die of embarassment whenever he accidentally slips up on something. Unfortunately, embarassment comes easily to him and he tends to come across as being a little fidgety and nervous around other chicoons, despite being friendly and welcoming. He wishes he could socialize better, without getting all awkward and fidgety and... Nerdy. He absolutely cannot handle compliments without becoming a gushing, blushing mess (something Jumpy would never stop reminding him of; a new parasite on his other back leg, who has since been dubbed 'Pea' after peacock jumping spiders, thinks it's rather sweet and silly).
