Finally, Leo had all the ingredients he needed in order to make his delicious pie. He checked over the ingredients from each day and came to the conclusion that the ingredients that he got were in fact, the final ingredients that he wanted for his pie. With the careful consideration, Leo nodded his head and made his way back to Auntie Appletun, who had been waiting for him to come back and tell her if he was ready to bake the pie. Leo nodded and grinned. Surely with Auntie Appletun's help, he'd make a delicious pie that no Pokemon could resist.

"Alright dear, let's take a looksie... What ingredients do you have for your pie? Strawberry Sweets.... Sugar Grass.... Tropic Blooms... oh! Marshmallow Root! Looks like you're trying to appeal to those with a sweet tooth!" Leo looked at Auntie and nodded his head. That was pretty much his only plan going into this. He had a sweet tooth himself, so he figured a sweet pie would be the key to any Pokemon's heart. If they had a sweet tooth, that is.

Since this was the first time Leo had ever baked a pie, Auntie Appletun was more than happy to lend a hand and show him the ropes. She even let him use her pie pans. She guided him through the process of making a pie by simply telling him the instructions. She wanted him to make the pie himself for the most part. The only time she helped Leo out with her hands was to show Leo how to spread the dough out in the pan and how to make the crust for the pie. Everything else was all Leo's doing.

Mixing up the ingredients that needed mixing, carefully placing and spreading out the ingredients that he had specifically chosen for the pie he was making at that very moment in time, and eventually, after Auntie's help, finishing up by making the rest of the crust and cutting three small holes at the top of the pie. Finally, everything was done and the pie was ready to be put into the oven. Auntie had pre-heated it already, so all Leo had to do was put it in. Which is exactly what he did as soon as he was done making the finishing touches to the pie.

"Good job dear! Now we'll have to wait awhile for the pie to rise. I hope you can have patience until it's ready!"

Leo nodded to Auntie again and smiled. He was excited about his creation. He couldn't wait to have a taste of his own pie that he created himself.

After some time, Auntie Appletun confirmed that the pie was done and was ready to be taken out of the oven. Leo quickly ran over and opened the oven. The smell immediately filled the air around them. You could smell the floral yet sweet scent of the Topic Blooms that Leo had put into the pie. It made his mouth water. As he placed the pie down on the counter, he looked at Auntie and then back at his pie, which was green in color due to the Sugar Grass, but still looked extremely good. Especially with it being his first time baking a pie.

He took another whiff of the air and smiled to himself. This was his pie that he made. And he knew it would be delicious. [569]

Frost leaves, the last ingredient Fantasia and Mako need for their pie. They both decided to head out to get it together.

Once they got to Drampa's garden, it was absolutely taken over by frost leaves. The plants draped around the garden like weeds and overgrown vines. They both got to work quickly, fixing up Drampa's garden and in the process, gathering some ripe frost leaves for the pie.
Mako was annoyed that he had to do the dirty work for Drampa, but Fantasia reassured him that "it'll be worth it; the pie will taste terrific with these leaves!"

Prompt: Shifara and Neko make their way over to where the Inkay are playing. The two are soon spotted just as they are in the middle of a game. The one Inkay zooms forward and taps Neko on the shoulder. "Tag! You are it!" They exclaim happily and with a giggle they spin themselves around and back a few paces. Neko blinks in confusion, tilting his head to the side as he tries to understand what the Inkay could have meant. Shifara explained the rules of tag to the younger Pokemon. "But we didn't come to play," Neko says, still a bit confused over the matter. The Inkay who had tagged Neko looks a bit sad at that remark. Shifara takes over the explanation that they are looking for some ink. Finally, they come to an agreement. Inkay will give them some ink in return for one round of tag. Shifara and Neko look at each other a bit worriedly. Autie Appleton had warned them to be careful. Not seeing any way around it, the two agreed. It took a while, but Neko finally managed to tag another Inkay and pass the round. The two Pokemon were rewarded for their willingness to play and soon returned to Auntie Appleton with a new story and some lovely Ink to add to their pie.

Once again, at the mention of chocolate, Mark and Eric turn to look at Kara, grinning. "So, we're gonna be getting chocolate again today, huh?" Eric asks. Kara cheers in response. She seems even more excited about today's ingredient. Apparently she especially likes dark chocolate. The trio appears very curious as Auntie Appletun begins describing how to obtain the dark chocolate. They are listening intently to her explanation, which is quite mysterious in and of itself. When Auntie Appletun mentions the test about acting cool and mysterious, Eric speaks up again. "We need to act cool, huh? Good thing I'm an Ice type." Kara and Mark laugh at the pun. All three seem excited about this last quest for ingredients for the pie, and they set out towards the pastry shop in high spirits.

When the trio reaches the shop, they walk around to the back and approach the back door. Kara knocks on the door three times, then moves to stand back near Mark, letting Eric be at the front of the group. After all, he's the 'cool' one, and the three do at least want to attempt to play along with the sneasel for a bit, even if it's not strictly necessary. The door opens a few moments later, revealing a sneasel wearing a leather jacket who stares down at them. The trio assumes this must be who Auntie Appletun meant, and put on their most cool and mysterious expressions.

"Hey," Eric says. "We've got an important quest that requires your assistance."

The tiniest hint of a smile appears on the sneasel's face before she quickly hides it behind an equally cool and mysterious expression. "Really? What might that be, and why would my assistance be necessary for it?"

Eric glances around a couple of times. "Perhaps we should discuss this inside?"

"Hmm, very well, but you'd better not be wasting my time," the sneasel replies, stepping aside so the trio could enter.

Once they have entered, Eric continues, "We have been sent by a mutual friend to acquire a vital ingredient."

"A vital ingredient? Whatever for?"

"For a delicious pie!" Mark says excitedly, momentarily forgetting about the act they were supposed to be playing along with.

The sneasel chuckles. "Then I suppose this mutual friend is Auntie Appletun? Alright, I'd be happy to help. What are you looking for?"

"Dark chocolate!" Kara says with a grin.

"Certainly, I'll go get some for you right now," the sneasel replies, smiling back. She heads to what the trio assumes is the kitchen, and returns with some dark chocolate. "Here you go, enjoy the pie and tell Auntie Appletun I said hi!"

"We will! Thank you!" The trio choruses. They head back to Auntie Appletun's house, and all three agree that it was really fun to play along with the sneasel!

Gathering the ingredients had been the hard, long, tedious part - Ragu didn't usually do that himself. What he couldn't get from his own garden, he found at the local market. What he couldn't find at the market... he simply didn't use. Having to go into marshes and caves and dark parts unknown had really given him a new appreciation for those that did these things on the regular, as well as a new resolve: he would never do these things again. He was not an adventure junkie. He had not joined a Pokemon Team or gone abroad, challenged trainers or become a dealer of exotic goods. He was a chef. A simple chef! His kitchen and his recipies were all the excitement he craved. Speaking of which... Ragu opened a cabinet. Since he was baking this dratted pie in 'AUNTIE'S' kitchen, he better figure out where everything was here and now, or else he'd be fumbling around during the process itself, and that would drive him mad.

Why was he doing this here, anyway?

Ragu pulled a pan from the cabinet and began rooting around for the other things he needed. Flour, baking soda, salt, brown sugar, water.... he wouldn't be using a market-bought crust, at least. He'd be making that fresh! The thought of using a market-bought crust made him sick. Especially after all the effort he'd gone to gathering the components for the filling!

Inconceivable!

Once he'd raided the cupboards and assembled 'Auntie's' borrowed tools, Ragu rubbed his tentacles together in anticipation. It was time to get going!

To make the crust, he mixed all of his secondary ingredients together into a bowl and stirred until he got the desired texture. After chilling it in the ice box for a suitable amount if time - allowing it to rise - he took the dough out of the bowl and kneaded it, shaped it, rolled it flat. Then he took and pressed it into the pie pan, trimming the edges so that it was nice and flush. This done, he set the crust aside and broke out his main ingredients.

Raticate Claw, Marshmallow Root, Ruby Gleam and Pecans.

Ragu set aside the pecans and ruby gleam for the moment. Instead he focused on his roots. He finely ground both the raticate claw and the marshmallow root, blending them together in a bowl with a bit of water to get the marshmallow root to do its thing. Once the texture of the mix was good and springy, Ragu sprinkled in a bit of ruby gleam. With continued stirring, the red colour of this ingredient really spread and took over the mixture!

Next, Ragu grabbed the pie crust from the ice box and spooned the mixture into it, spreading it evenly into the pan. The pecans were pressed on top of this. Finally, the rest of the ruby gleam was sprinkled over top to give the pie a brilliant sparkle, like frost on an autumn field.

Smiling and satisfied with his work, Ragu popped the pie into the oven to bake.

Frost Leaf [232 Words]

Jingle, Sweet Potato, and Scarlet go down to Drampa’s garden to find the frost leaf. They were pretty shocked to see teal blue leaves draped across the entire garden. How are they gonna clean all this mess up?

They knew for sure which plants were the frost leaf because of the vibrant colour, and they were cold to the touch! The frost leaf vines twirled around every flower and every vegetable, so they had to be careful.

They separated into different jobs to get everything off quicker, Sweet Potato would pick all of the frost leaves and put them in a bowl, while Scarlet would untangle all the vines from the delicate plants so they did not break, lastly Jingle would take all of the vines and put them in one big pile for Drampa to throw out later!

Everything worked out perfectly, not a single flower was damaged, and every fruit and vegetable was still perfectly intact! Sweet Potato had so much frost leaf that they couldn’t even fit them all in the bowl to bring back to Auntie’s!

Drampa was very pleased to see his garden all cleaned up! But after touching all that chilly frost leaf, all of their hands were very cold! So Drampa offered them a nice warm cup of hot cocoa as a thank you! And once they left it was off to make their pie!

Despite taking what felt like an eternity to Bob, the feline did manage to make his way back to the cottage right as the others were getting things started with the pie. Kana was working to steep some of the roasted coffee beans in milk-- with some supervision from Lance, to make sure she didn’t accidentally break the bowl this time.

Bob did, at least, wind up spending extra time at Dramps’ house cleaning off the apples that xe was bringing over, the fruit still dripping from the water used on them. As xe went and set the basket on the table, xe looked over to observe Sparrow working to knead the dough of their pie crust. Zayne was helping him out by grinding the sweet bark, some of which wound up being kneaded directly into the pie dough.

Sparrow shot Bob a stern look as he reached for a rolling pin though. Now that both were in the kitchen together, this was bound to get more than a little bit complicated. He elected to leave the task of rolling the dough to Zayne as he approached the Espeown.

“What. Is. Your. Play.”
“I see you still haven’t dropped this childish antic of your’s. Far beneath you or I, really,” Bob quipped. Xe seemed fairly amused that only Sparrow could hear xer retort, but carried on with the task of coring each apple and cutting them up. Sparrow was, understandably, agitated by xer behavior but elected to simply return to aiding Zayne with the pie crust-- namely, getting the pie dish into the oven safely.

Bob smiled knowingly, but xe worked tirelessly to make sure there was more than enough cubed apples for the pie. Kana elected to leave the straining of the pokebeans to Lancelot, fearing the idea of breaking things again. He’d bring the now light brown milk over to the counter near the apples, which Bob would move the apples to in order to let them soak. Zayne didn’t really trust Bob either, but given how nonchalant his little brother was being…well. He had to behave, just like Sparrow.

He’d add more of the ground up sweet wood, this time to the soaking apple and milk mixture. The whole thing seemed to be going well so far, at least. Sparrow was still skeptical even minutes later when he went to pull the pie dish back out to reveal the beautiful crust that had been baked just enough to keep its shape.

Lancelot was clueless on why the others disliked Bob-- but he and Kana joined forces to pour the apple mixture into the pie tin. With them working together, the odds of the Alckritty ruining anything was being minimized-- mostly, anyway. They still had a lot of mess to clean up afterward, but Lance didn’t mind.

It took Sparrow and Zayne a bit longer to roll out more dough, but together the two worked to create a proper lattice effect on top of the pie now that it had been filled. It was only once it was in the oven that the peace had come to an abrupt ending.

“So who gets to distribute the pie?” Kana chirped happily.
“I thought everyone was getting a slice…” Lancelot mumbled.
”Absolutely not. This entire pie is property of King Xymar.” Bob’s announcement caught everyone off guard.
“What?! Are you ABSURD?! I will never allow that!!” Sparrow snarled. The two descended into an argument rather promptly…

To Zayne’s dismay. He let this go on for a few minutes, hoping the one-sided argument would resolve itself…before sighing and finally stepping in with a Roar.
“WILL YOU BOTH JUST SHUT UP!?” He snarled. Bob and Sparrow did, to their credit, do so. They stared at Zayne rather blankly.

“This pie is for everyone,” He muttered. “We all contributed equally. There is no kingdom that contributed the most-- and even still, one pie cannot feed an entire kingdom. Just…put your differences aside for one day and…enjoy the pie. Please??”
Lancelot went to stand at his brother’s side, beaming proudly.
“My big brother is right! We did this together!!”
Then Kana, too, came to support them.
“Yeah!! Everyone can have a slice!!”

Bob huffed, though no sound was made. The orbs around xe began to glow more vibrantly as xe exhausted xer energy to speak once more to the group.

“Then what of what is left?! There is enough left for more than us, you naive--”
“I volunteer Lance to take it, as he is the youngest between the five of us.”

Zayne had been rather quick on the draw, cutting off Bob’s protests. Each and every argument had been shut down by Zayne, and before they knew it-- the pie had finished baking.

While the pie was still hot, Lancelot carefully worked-- with the help of his big brother Zayne-- to decorate the apple pie with the Gracidea flowers nested between the lattice. It was a beautiful pie…and honestly, Lance could not have been more grateful toward his brother for helping settle everything.

“There is no point in arguing about something as simple as a pie, anyway,” Zayne stated firmly as he observed the pie as it was cooling on the windowsill.

“The best part of making a pie is getting to share it in the end. If you take nothing else from the past two weeks with us, Bob, take that lesson back with you.”

Bob frowned as xe reflected on those words. While xer king was bound to be furious…maybe the young princes had a point. Just this once.

the hard part of trying to get the frost leaves from the drampa’s garden was all the weeds. the trio of fire types had never seen such a mess, weeds everywhere the eye could see. “how about a little fire power?” nyx asked with a smirk. “it’ll be quick and we’ll get out of here just as quickly.”

“absolutely not,” circe exclaimed. “you’ll rile up juno and get it to go even further with it, and you’ll join in on the so-called fun. and, next thing i’ll have to do is be apologizing to drampa.”

juno seemed to be upset with circe’s accusations. it turned away from the two before an argument could start, and it lit some weeds on fire. it motioned to nyx who was getting an earful from circe, and nyx snuck away before circe noticed. and, before she knew, circe could smell the burnt plants and both nyx and juno were racing to burn any weeds away. “i’ll finish it before you do!” nyx taunted juno.

circe was about to speak up but spotted the frost leaves they needed. so, she plunked a few off and raced away from the potential crime scene. she wasn’t gonna drag them out it this time. at least, the news didn’t report any fires happening, and the duo of nyx and juno came back more than pleased with themselves for not burning down the whole garden.
