why're they so grumpy?: they keep on trying to do origami but accidentally rips the paper with their claws! they really want to learn how to fold paper nicely and while theyre amazing at doing step one, cutting the paper into a square, they seem to have a lot of trouble with keeping their claws away when the delicate folds come up. everyone thinks crim doesnt know how to do origami and that makes them really upset. everyone says that they would be excellent at punching holes into paper but thats not what they want to do.

Reluctant to admit, in his downtime Jace really enjoys settling down with a puzzle. He's just slotting the last few pieces in to one of the most difficult puzzles he'd attempted to date, but... wait... 1, 2, 3... There's one piece missing! Jace frowns, glancing around him. He checks all surfaces, on top and under the puzzle, even shakes himself to check it wasn't caught in his fur. It wasn't anywhere to be seen! Taking a deep breath, he decides to do a more thorough search. Hours later and with no luck, Jace has to admit defeat. He's terribly bitter and grumpy now he'll never finish his puzzle...

In The Land of the Exiles, there's only two kinds of folk: Those walking on the sand, and those who become buried in it. Fallon knows better than anyone that once you step into the dunes as a bounty hunter, your life's as lonely and fragile as the tumble weeds rolling through. But before he becomes another lost tumbleweed, he's got some payback to deal out.
It was midday, the heat making Fallon sweat like a pig on a spit and distorting anything in view. Rocks, anthills... the only constant was the flat yellow line of the sands met by the bright blue sky on the horizon. Fallon finally made it into town- somehow alive, but hungry beyond words. Pushing open the doors of the closest inn, he desperately wished for a warm meal and comfortable bed. The inn owner, 'Wolfman', looked at Fallon with a confused gaze. "Hungry? Well partner, I'm real sorry, but we're all full up." Fallons head swayed from left to right... there was no one here. Was this a joke? How was he supposed to make that payback without sustenance? This was gonna slow him down at least a day!

You know how it is: new roommates.

Learning how to coexist with someone new is always an experience, especially if their habits and schedules don't quite align with your own. Liesel badly needed someone to split the cost of rent with, and is grateful that at least the house isn't empty anymore- but sharing space with a runaway rich boy (who insists on playing his saxophone whenever at all possible) and the two semiaquatic menaces that he dredged up from who knows where (they'll stay in the bathroom for hours on end, using up all the hot water and dumping all her table salt in it to boot) was not at all what she bargained for. She's not looking forward to explaining this one to their landlord.

He's not really grumpy, Anthym is just practicing his expressions.
Unfortunately for him he's terrible at keeping a straight face and usually laughs at even the slightest jokes - funny or not! He can't help himself, he's totally weak for terrible jokes. Thanks to this kels where he lives know how he actually is and he's actually pretty good friends with them.
He just needs to work on his poker face... a lot.

why're they so grumpy?: He went to a fortune teller and they told him that he was about to have the most miserable year of his life, and if he wasn't very very careful then his entire future would be one of misfortune and sadness. What he doesn't realize is that this was a self-fulfilling prophecy. By believing that he was going to have a horrible time, that affected his mood and made him so upset... Now if he goes back, of course he will tell her that she was right! Let's hope the next mystic he crosses paths with has a little more mercy on him!
