    Owner: Kazin
    Cat Name: Scarf
Prompt: The waterfall surrounded by forests, where the cats of the Shining Cascades called home, held many secrets. Even the cats that claimed the territory could not claim to know all the secrets - not even the secrets held by their closest friends or clanmates. One of the secrets was Scarf's greatest treasure, his pride and joy, his most favorite thing in the world. And he wouldn't tell anyone about it.

    __________________________________________________

It was always best to find his secret at night. Not only was it easier to sneak out of the camp unseen, it was easier to enjoy the treasure. Scarf wasn't usually a proud cat, and he was typically a social cat too, but even still he couldn't bring himself to show this spot to others. It was his work. His to look at, and no one could take that away from him.

So as always, Scarf found himself waiting until the den was full and the sounds of deep, restful breaths gently filled the air, and he slipped out of the den. He padded silently through the camp, the patch of fur on his neck ruffling slightly in the breeze of the night, almost too cold against his hairless skin. Still, it wasn't enough to deter him. His warm nest would always be there when he got back.

Through the camp entrance, around the noise of the waterfall, Scarf continued on. It wasn't too far of a trek, but it was still a journey - yet, the walk didn't seem too bad. Scarf had the thoughts of something he worked hard to hide from everyone else to greet him. As the moon climbed higher into the sky, Scarf took a few twists a turns and stopped at a thick tangle of large tree roots that seemed to be blocking his path. He took pause here, glancing around as he always did to make sure he was truly and completely alone, and slipped his small frame through a hidden gap in the roots.

On the other side a small meadow was waiting for him, just as it always was, as perfect as the day he happened to stumble upon the meadows. A colorful array of flowers of various types surrounded the clearing, the bright colors hard to miss even in the darkness of night. The aroma greeted his nose sharply, but not unpleasantly. But even then, the flowers weren't why he was here, as beautiful and pungent as they were. His treasure lied a little bit higher up, drifting at his eye level or just above it.

Fireflies dotted the meadows, blinking across the tops of the flowers, looking like a star haven had fallen to the ground. Scarf would never tire of the sight, so many fireflies flashing around him, burning with different intensities of light. Here he would spend the night, until the fall of the moon alerted him that he needed to head back to not be missed before the dawn patrols were assigned. He would always be tired after a clear night spent in the firefly meadows, but Scarf never cared. He was alone. He was free. He felt at peace, his secret an old friend, all the fireflies greeting him with their soft lights.

It wasn't the fact that he found this place that was the point of pride for Scarf. It was the act of keeping it hidden from others. He usually turned so many heads, and other cats seemed to watch him at all times for one reason or another, but here he was completely alone. No gazes followed him, no cat could whisper about his strange appearance here, and no cat even knew where he was. The cat that was often the center of attention was proud that he was able to keep a secret hidden from others and have a place that he called his own.

Owner: RoxyTBDW
Cat Name: Clingfish (FUN FACT: Clingfish is a type of scaleless fish so I thought 'hey why not name this little fella clingfish?')
Prompt: Clingfish has always been proud of where he grew up and his legacy. He would do anything to take care of his home and keep it alive, in fact.

PS: Little Snowflake is Whitefish's nickname given to him by Clingfish like a parent would call their child, NOT a partner/romantic nickname or whatever. Just wanted to clear that out of the way to prevent confusion.

Clingfish padded through the soft grass of the Human backyard. He trotted over to the pond, lapping up the water softly. Out of the corner of his eye, he caught sight of Whitefish's snow-white pelt. Finishing up, Clingfish sat up and smiled at the smaller cat that sat before him.

"Hello, Little Snowflake. Is there something you need?" he purred. Whitefish nodded. He took a deep breath. "Hello, Grandpaw, I-I've been wondering... what do I truly love? What am I proud of? I thought... m-maybe since you're the oldest one here that ... you could tell me what you are proud of and it might g-give me an idea...? Ah! Sorry, it's stupid..." he murmed, turning away. Clingfish lifted Whitefish's chin with his tail to face him. "Look at me. No question is stupid," Clingfish smiled. "Every question is a good one. Don't be afraid to ask me anything, Little Snowflake."

Whitefish looked away, hiding his face. "Y-yeah, uhm, about the question?" He nervously mewed. "Oh, yes. Hrmm," he hummed. "I think... I am proud of this Clowder. And everyone I've raised in it, been raised with, or even just heard the name of. I love each and every cat in this yard, and I am so proud of each and every one of them. Each cat I've met here has mastered something unique to their personality and grows with each day."

Whitefish blinked with sparkling eyes. "I... that's a wonderful thing to be proud of..." He sniffled. "Sorry, I got water in my eye from the pond." He leaned into Clingfish. "I think I know what I'm proud of."
