cat name: Tiho
gender: female
age: 4 seasons
guild storage: tbn prompt: xxxxxTiho faced her fear of being alone by spending the day hunting by herself. She spent everyday of her kittenhood with her mother or littermates, so she was quite dependent on them by habit. In order to be helpful to the clan, she needed to be able to hunt by herself.
xxxxxOf course, Tiho knew how to hunt well enough, but she was always with her mentor. On that day though, her mentor was nursing a sprained foot and needed the day to rest, but the hungry stomachs in the clan couldn't wait another day. She had to provide for her family.
xxxxxThe woods were cool before the sun fully rose, and the songbirds had only just began to sing their morning praises. Tiho was feeling brave when she took her first steps outside the den, though that feeling quickly faded with a nervous twist in her belly as the familiar scents were replaced with the damp moss and soft dirt.
xxxxx*crack! whoosh~* The smell of a fox floods her nose just as it leaps at her out of the brush. Luckily her already cautious posture enabled her to deftly roll out of the way. Face to face with the fox, Tiho realizes that it is rather small. Perhaps it too is out on its first solo hunt. She puffed up her fur and gave the most menacing growl she could, this fox will have to try something else out for prey. To her surprise, it tucked tail and ran. Tiho gave a little chase just to make sure it moved away from the den, before returning to her task at hand. Maybe she should give patrolling a try next.
