Our local go-to camping place, Rhododendron Coastline Campgrounds (aka Camp Rhody) is packed to the brim with Chicoons, almost the entire species is here! I guess everybody thought camping was a great idea, and honestly who could blame them! Camp Rhody has it all; since the lake-side campgrounds are just a skip away from the beautiful ocean there is plenty of neat things to do, you could go kayaking on the lake, take a walk around the rocky beaches, hike the trails around the coastline, climb the tall fir trees, or cook around the campfire!

Chicoons are a strange subclass of dragon, and although they are closely related to Amphithere as well as Western dragons, they are unlike either! Chicoon have long, flexible necks, a curly and stretchy tongue, floppy ears, a box-like head, wings on their head, and a flame that hovers by their tail.

Chicoon are Arboreal Fruigivores that stand roughly 4 feet in height. They have a high intelligence and can lean how to communicate with any animal, however lack the necessary vocal chords to speak any verbal language. They express emotions mainly through body language and the use of their head-wings, they have proven to be very friendly and generally enjoy the company of humans!

Prompt: How does Goopy stay cool in summer? Well, at first he asks the help of his friends to get the kiddy pool out. They make sure it is ready to put some ice cubes in it. Well, yeah. Together they throw in a lot of ice cubes! Before Goopy gets in the pool, he throws a few ice cubes to his friends, which starts a little ice cube fight. Yeah, they throw ice cubes at eachother. The weirdos.
After the ice cube fight, it is time for Goopy to jump in the pool of ice cubes! It is the best way to cool off quickly! Meanwhile, his friends are enjoying some lemon ice cream, they don't need the ice bath, but they enjoy sitting there with Goopy. Chatting all day long, until the sun sets again. The ice cubes have become water, so the pool is now an actual pool. This is the moment where they all jump in one last time, playing with the water before they clean up everything and go back home to sleep for the night.

Ice cream is my favorite matter. This summer is the time to
consume many and to cool off in my favorite kiddie pool.

Every year in the summer, Dewey would always plan ahead of time. He would decide if the best option for every year is to make his own favorite frozen treats. Or to go with the more easy and simple way, is to buy some already made ice cream. This summer he's decided to make a whole month schedule of ice cream making. On a selected month, Dewey decided to go with making fruit flavors of ice cream.

Dewey then takes out his small notepad calendar and takes note of all the flavors he'll make each day. Then comes his favorite part, going to the store to pick out a new kiddie pool. Dewey would always buy a new kiddie pool every year. He specifically would try to find any ones with fruit or pastel designs.

♪ ♫ ♩ ♬ Summer Track ♪ ♫ ♩ ♬

It’s that time of year again, when the sun shines and the heat
almost reaches unbearable temperatures! Scoop wipes his brow
and looks up at the sky. It’s early morning but the sun is already
shining at Camp Rhody.

“Ho ho!” Scoops wings flutter and he looks pleased. The best way
for Scoop to stay cool in the summer is by making ice-cream.

Scoop is no stranger to the delicious sweet treat; in fact, he would
say he’s almost perfected the art of making the smooth dessert. And
what’s better than making Ice cream? … Making Ice cream when there
lots of other Chicoons to share it with! It seemed like everyone was
staying by the lake and sea that year.

Scoop sets up his cart, pushing it into place on the lakeside
with his tail. It’s stocked and ready for the day ahead. The
cart is equipped with a large, multicoloured umbrella for shade,
which he definitely needs to stop him from feeling like he’s
melting (quite literally!)

“What is your favourite
flavour ice cream to
keep you cool?”

“Ho ho!" Scoop finds this an
interesting question and flaps
his wings. He motions to the
his answer on his cart - mint
choco chip! Mint makes his
mouth feel extra cold!



“You've got ice-cream
on your nose!”

Scoop tilts his head then
smiles a silly smile. His tongue
flicks out and licks right around
his nose cartoonishly. He purrs
with delight.



“Are you edible?”

Scoop honks and sputters with
surprise. He seems to be saying:
"N-now what makes you think
that!?” He averts his gaze.
Guess we’ll never know for sure…

Like a magician he whips up a number of exciting flavours – Lavender & Peach,
Peanut Butter & Jelly, Blueberry Cheesecake, Rocky Road! If you’re extra nice,
he’ll even take requests.

By the time he finishes, the sun is really shining, and he’s started to attract the
attention of the other Chicoons. He holds up an ice cream cone and waves,
drawing everyone in to share.

There’s plenty to go around – He passes out extra to some Chicoon’s with fishing
rods, telling them to share with Pops and others at the lake, or those with diving
gear to deliver some to Kei; Scoop heard he lost his backpack, how unfortunate!

All of this excitement has earned Scoop a good rest. He lounges down beside his
cart in the shade, an ice cream cone in one hand and a fan in the other. He purrs
as the breeze cools his face, smiling after another successful day staying cool
in the sun.
