Kalon name: Alice
prompt:
Alice stood by the gravesite, although unlike most gathered there she did not cry. She held her composure well, considered the deceased was her best friend. Still. Kalli had been ALIVE. Kalli had really lived, where so many were walking but not living. In their short time together, Kalli had taken Alice dancing, showing her the streets and the rhythm that few could hear. They had gone to the clubs, dancing and at times singing really bad karaoke. They had painted together, ran together... and as different as all of these things were one thing remained the same.
Kalli left her mark upon this world.
Every kalon she met remembered her, be it for her strange ways or her unique perspective on life. Everyone was touched by her, in some way or another. And for Alice... that was what it was like to really live. You had to leave a mark on the world, even if it was as small as making someone smile after a long day or helping carry another's bags to their car. You did not need a fancy title, magic, or even skill at all. You just, needed to reach out. Needed to try.
And that was why she would not cry. Kalli had lived, where so many other kalons had not, and may never. And now, Alice knew, it was her turn to do the same.
