It's a beautiful day for racing! The snails are in the gates, and they're off! Green Machine is hot out of the gate, Yellow Belly and Purple People Eater off to a rough start. But what's this?! Green Machine is acting up and Purple People Eater takes the lead! Yellow Belly still behind. They're coming down the backstretch, Purple People Eater with a 2 length lead on Green Machine, Yellow Belly just behind. They're sliding around the last corner now, coming into the final stretch Purple People Eater pulls away! What an amazing burst of speed! It's no contest, Purple People Eater is our winner by 10 lengths! Green Machine second, Yellow Belly finishing last.
