Weird Animal Fact:: naked mole rats have some traits almost never seen in other mammals -- they are almost cold-blooded and have complex social structure like bees and ants. also they live really long (more than ten times of an average rat, sometimes), barely feel pain, can survive in extremely low-oxygen environment (including living about 20 minutes with no oxygen at all), and resistant to cancer! weirdly sturdy for just a 4 inch rodent.
