When they stand up, they don't see themselves, as usual. They see the ghost. It's always there, it's never them.

They wish they could look like they want to in the mirror.

Even the mirror inside, made of impossibly strong volcanic glass, is of no worry! I mean, why would someone be afraid of a mirror anyway? Ghost's ribbon got tied on a little bit to early and the seamstress had realized she'd made a small mistake and needed to cut more fabric. Ghost's first waking memory is the horrifyingly shiny sharp blades coming for her. She remembers the feeling of losing her extra fabric. The sound of the scissors... clip clip. She could swear she still feels the extra fabric from her leg, very much like a phantom limb to her.
