since aurora means dawn and borealis means northerly/northern, the name actually means “northerly dawn” or “northerly light of dawn”

⸙the sun will rise in the east and set in the west. it was just one of the many rules of nature. once the sun stowed away, the sky would disappear. an ever expanding dark abyss would show for the first few minutes of the suns rest. but soon after the world got covered in darkness, bright lights would appear. first only a few, but then there were millions. so many that nature herself lost count.

⸙it was on one of these nights when a dark figure dash through the land. weaving in and out between trees, trees so large they almost touched the sky, and silent paw pads thudding on the thickly layered snow. this figure was a large mass, the forest covering most of the moonlight that could have possible shown the creature. and while the snow absorbed most sound, to the ear of an owl it could hear heavy panting. the creature was in a hurry.

⸙it broke tree cover and the reflection of the moon bounced off the sleek snow and finally revealed the creature. almost massive for his species, the spitz's large muscles moved with every stride. his ears were pinned down, his tail whipping in the wind, and his large mane like fur become sleek and flat. his eyes were narrowed and his focus never seemed to stray from the rocky hill before him. he rapidly scaled the sharp rocks, confident and sure of his movements.

⸙where the spitz reached the top of the hill, on the peak of the larges rock, he finally stopped. his head hung low and his breathes came quick. his ears were still flat to his head, but his fur had flared out, making him look double his size. "oh great gods," he spoke, his voice raspy and strained, "what have we done to harm you? why have the gods shown their wrath today?" his questions where met with the howling of the winds. the night's cold showed no mercy for even with his thick coat, sirius was shivering.

⸙"i'm sorry for what i have done, but please, please, stop hurting my pack. they have done nothing. for as i am alpha, i should be taking punishment." sirius pleaded throughout the night, hopeful for an answer. the gods have answered before, so why are they quiet tonight? but still, there was no reply. a lone howl was heard from the direction he came from. it was shallow and week. after a few seconds it abruptly stopped. sirius listened, his ears finally perking up. he let out his own howl, more strong and willed than the other. but there was no response. "oh sweet nature, sorrow is a hard thing isn't it. please, mother, take care of their souls and let the trees guide them to the gods, for if they will take them."

⸙he set off, his tail low and his ears were backed to being pinned. as he padded off, the sun rose to begin a new day.

Angel or Devil, or more commonly known as Angie, is a wonderchild of figmented wanderlust and remorse. born in a cosy home surrounded by the humans he escaped one day, only to be caught and brought back. he tried time and time again until he finally broke free of his shackles, but cherishes his moments with his fragmented lineage.. the boy has always tried tenaciously, most likely trying until his paws wear out and claws dulled. you cannot get angie down in the dumps, and he'll come back at you if you were to intimidate you. angie is also prone to boredom, often chasing him tail to pass time.

alkative, he still values everyone else's words. angie is an excellent h
unter from his time living alone, but is sluggish and prefers to prey on
bigger, rather slow-moving animals. angie was never one for romance
but he wouldn't mind a fae. he is still young and has lots to learn, o
ften proving his young age as an disadvantage (he hasn't completely
matured). angie is a damant and has plenty of alacrity, jumping from rock to rock.
she was re-captured after escaping, just two months ago.
