Lykaio's name: Sleipnir
Gender: Male
Piece 1: In Norse mythology, Sleipnir is the name of Odin’s eight legged horse.
Piece 2:
Day 21 of this new home. Sleipnir didn’t see anyone that could bother him. He had moved several times to avoid having anyone stare at him. His multiple limbs made him a fast swimmer and someone everyone stared at. This new home, a cave with bioluminescent algae was surrounded by nothing. Sleipnir passed the time by swimming, exploring, reading, and writing. He didn’t need to eat for some reason. Sleipnir read mythology, and wrote some stories himself. It was getting lonely down here. Day 22. Nothing happened. Day 23. A small glowing fish came by. It got scared away at the sight of Sleipnir. Day 24. Nothing. Day 25, 26, 27, nothing. Maybe Sleipnir would go up to the surface. 28. Two more fish came by. 29. Another fish. 30. “Hello?” A Lykaio called out. Sleipnir hid in some dark seaweed. “Helloooooooo!” The Lykaio looked dark. Were those horns? “Maybe I’ll live here…” Did it have two tails? Sleipnir slid out. “Um, hi?” The dark Lykaio stared at him, them broke into a smile. It did have horns. And two different colored eyes. The Lykaio broke into a smile. “Hi! I’m Opal. Can I live here with you?”
Piece 3:
It was moving day. They had lived in the cave until day 60 before they decided to go somewhere else. Day 68 they left. They had seaweed pack full of everything they wanted to bring. They hadn’t yet decided where they would move, but they wanted it to be by other Lykaios. Opal took the lead. “Come on Sleipnir, I know there a shipwreck nearby we could check out.” Opal had the bags of books and journals, and Sleipnir was carrying their strange stones. They swam for a few hours before the water became lighter. More and more fish swam by them. They saw hints of a few other Lykaios living nearby. “Sleipnir, I think we can live here.” Opal said after a while. She swam into a hollow in the reef, big enough for both of them. “Let’s unpack.” They sorted through their stuff and placed it around their new home. “How long do you think we’ll be staying here Sleipnir?” Opal asked. “I don’t know.” He responded. A Lykaio popped her head in. “Hi! I’m Fern. I’m your new neighbor. Wow, you guys are so cool!” Opal smiled. “I think we’ll be staying here a long time.”
