On top of being a young lion learning to be a healer, Kahewai is also very curious about the earth and the history of the land that the pride lives on. They haven't found many fossils on their territory, but other prides have met with the healers and shown them the fossils. This doesn't happen often, but every time it does it's very fascinating to see what they've found.

Kahewai's favorite fossil is one of a supposedly extinct sea dinosaur called a Plesiosaur. When the prides brought together the fossils, they actually discovered that they had uncovered a whole skeleton of a dinosaur. The lions worked together to restore it and place it on common ground together, then named it based on what it looked like. From what they could tell and the knowledge that had been passed down to them, they thought that this was most likely a Plesiosaur.

Ever since that day, he's always loved that fossil and thought of himself as a Plesiosaur. Kahewai may not be a sea creature, but he feels drawn to the water and to the bones of old animals.

Prompt: Soria loves all kinds of fossils. She loves learning about things that came before her time, and before creatures were able to document what happened. It's the most fascinating thing in the world to her. Her favorite period of time is easily when dinosaurs roamed. It's no competition really. No other era holds the same wonder. It makes sense, since she came from a family of paleonologists. She was raised with this sort of stuff.

All of her family members carry around a fossil of the animal they were named after in a small pouch around their neck. Her mother has a stellasaurus vertebrae. Her dad has a thanos claw. Her oldest brother carries a dawn horse vertebrae. Her other older brother has a nautilus. And Soria carries a stegosaurus tooth.

Unfortunately, soriatitan bones are much too big to fit in a necklace. Soria's alright with that, though. As much as she loves soriatitans, her favorite dinosaur is definitely the stegosaurus. She doesn't really know why, maybe it's the spikes on their tails, maybe it's the plates on their backs. All she knows is that they are without a doubt her favorite.
Despite this, her brothers have different opinions of what they think she would be. Sure, her favorite prehistoric animal is the stegosaurus, but other dinosaurs' behaviors seem to match hers much better.

Her oldest brother, Hippus, thinks that she would be some kind of small avian, possibly a yi or an archeopteryx. She loves to go do stuff off on her own, and doesn't like being tied down. He calls her his 'little bird' all the time. On top of that, even to Hippus she's incredibly short.

Nautilus thinks that she would be a bug trapped in amber. One of her favorite things to do is annoy him, so he thinks it fitting that she would be an insect. In all seriousness, he surprisingly thinks that the maiasaura is actually the best choice for Soria. Sure, as much as she annoys him, he has to admit that she's incredibly caring and motherly. And most of the time she's 'annoying' him, she's trying to keep him safe or out of trouble.
