Shadow Flitz (Singular; Shadow Flit) are a long bodies species that have long since lost their hind legs, tail, and eyes to the power of the shadow and have replaced them with mold-able wispy appendages. these large, friendly beasts have been recently tamed to be ridden by humans and anthros alike. They have large, wide front paws, long pointed ears, and short, smooth fur. They can be naturally found in dark caves, wetlands, or thick forests. however have also been spotted in pastures while hunting. They are carnivores- meaning they are only meant to eat meat and they often prey on birds, deer, rodents, and bats.

Prompt answer: It was given to them by a dear friend of theirs whom they fell in love with. But after their friendship crumbled when he moved away without notice it's all they have left of him, and getting a gift form someone they love - even if' it's the only gift form them - makes them very protective of it, and to them it is extremely special. One night they discovered their bell wasn't just some regular golden bell, but it also had something about it that they couldn't figure out, another thing is sometimes at random the bell would ring on it's own giving off a tender melody.
At first they thought it was just some random quirky mechanism til they realized it didn't have any. The bell rang and sung a different tune based on the events happening. It mean their friend was still with them even if he had forgotten Tillianne. Whenever he'd think about Till or talk about them his own set of silver bells would ring as well and vice versa. Due to their strong history no matter how either feels about the other whether he tried to avoid Till or Till felt frustrated with him, the bells would tell otherwise, if they hated each other the bells of each flit would sing as if to say "You know you're wrong"
