the bottom kid's effect is done by selecting pieces of the merged layers & moving them, then doing a 30% overlay of monochromatic noise (and merging down), making four copies of the layer (one made pure black, it should be the bottom layer), then clipping the red, green & blue on the other duplicates and doing darken & merging them down, then setting the RGB layers to screen & moving them as desired. Chromatic abberation! Their unaltered layers are in the file, just hidden.
