Welcome to the Euphorian Retired Racehorse Project
Euphorian Thoroughbreds are a rare string of the Thoroughbred breed. They come from a single farm simply called “Euphoria” that has horses with mutated genes. These allow them to be able to possess any realistic coat or markings. Everything else about the sub-type is the same. Long, strong legs, a powerful hind, and great speed. Their eyes are soft and the breed is incredibly smart, if not a bit goofy. They love kids and have the rare ability to excel in any discipline. They can grow from 15hh-18hh, though usually somewhere in the middle.
The horses readopted through the Euphorian Retired Racehorse Project are looking for a new loving home and a new job. They’ve tried racing and have either retired or decided the sport wasn’t for them. Either way, they are ready for the next chapter in their life. Some of these horses will come with a little training already, and will have their new discipline already determined. Although others you’ll get to pick how they move forwards!

His mother's life was shortened due to the strain on her heart from being a racer, but Jai helps him remember his own memories of her (since some are a bit fuzzy) by helping him with details he may have forgotten, as well as telling him about her own experiences with his dam through her eyes, which he enjoys very much. He only has one other older half-sibling, and they are on friendly terms, but since they've both gone on their seperate ways, Jai has been his only family for quite a long time. Jai is now retired from her work as a calming goat, but she decided to make her connection to Storm obvious to the humans so that she could be permitted to stay with him. Now, she is always the first thing he sees when he gets back to the barn and his stall.

Competition: Gilligan didn’t have the best racing experience in his early years. He wasn’t one to run or do straining movements. He was more of a slow and with the flow kinda stallion. So of course when he didn’t place even moderately high with his first few races he was out with the “trash” as the previous owner said. He ran through a really small local livestock auction; one where kb’s mainly attended.

With his head hung low and hopes not even a grass length high he depressingly trotted through the doors to the ring. There were many faces within the crowd but he didn’t pay much attention. Almost as if it was just a dream his time in the ring was over and he was being shooed back through a set of doors and into a holding pen. Empty emotions gathered within his gut as he awaited his fate. Time passed and trailers came to gather what had been bought and what had not.

Once the wranglers got to his pen, a little 2 horse trailer was backed up to his pen. ‘What an oddly clean trailer for a kb?’ He thought quietly to himself. They didn’t have to give him much persuasion to move as he just walked in himself. With his tail low and head practically dragging the ground. The trailer took off to a destination only the heavens knew. Sadness now finding a permanent home within his heart.

The drive was somewhat moderate. Whoever the driver was knew how to take care of the precious packages in tow. ‘How odd?’ His thoughts commented once more. As the trailer and truck turned down a gravel driveway something within his consciousness to take a peak at the destination. What a minute, this was much nicer then what horses had described this place to be. Healthy and happy horses running about, luscious trees and several buckets filled with water. If nothing else, guy could have swore it’d have been heaven.

Finally as the trailer stopped and a human slowly walked around to the back of the trailer. Dread formed within his stomach getting to finally face his ‘fate’z he could only image what the human looked like. But instead as the trailer swung to the side all he could see was a little old lady. White frizzy hair and a buckle almost as big as she was. Something changed and told all that dread and sadness to disappear once he saw her face. Somewhere deep down he knew this wasn’t a bad place after all. This little lady standing in front of him would be his entire world and vise versa.

She gave a small sweet smile and said “oh boy, I hope you like it here hunny. I think you’ll fit right in if your exactly how they said. that nasty old man. I woulda loved to kick his butt” she frowned her brow. “But that’s all the past now. “ she giggled. He gave a soft whinny at her statement; Sweet and sassy! She gave a boisterous laugh alsmlr as if she heard what he was saying. “Boy I think you and me will get along just fine, especially once we get started with training for your future career!”
