Cat Name: Hartsky
Gender: Male
Rank: Elder
Clan: Amurclan
Age: 9yrs 6mo
Prompt:

"It's a tale as old as time," The ex-kittypet began, "a tale of love, heartache, and magic." Hartsky was not new to telling the kits stories, in fact he was the best storyteller of the clan, and he knew it. He reserved his favorite story for when new kits joined them, the tale he learned from his time with people, Beauty and the Beast. And just like last time, everyone was entranced, even the adults.

Age: 1 year
Prompt:
the Kitsune - Japanese folklore Mine is in bold, original stories in italic.
A kitsune may take on human form, an ability learned when it reaches a certain age – usually 100 years, although some tales say 50. As a common prerequisite for the transformation, the fox must place reeds, a leaf, or a skull over its head. Common forms assumed by kitsune include beautiful women, young girls, elderly men, and less often young boys. These shapes are not limited by the fox's own age or gender, and a kitsune can duplicate the appearance of a specific person. Kitsune are particularly renowned for impersonating beautiful women. Common belief in medieval Japan was that any woman encountered alone, especially at dusk or night, could be a kitsune. Kitsune-gao ('fox-faced') refers to human females who have a narrow face with close-set eyes, thin eyebrows, and high cheekbones. Traditionally, this facial structure is considered attractive, and some tales ascribe it to foxes in human form. Variants on the theme have the kitsune retain other foxy traits, such as a coating of fine hair, a fox-shaped shadow, or a reflection that shows its true form.

In some stories, kitsune retain – and have difficulty hiding – their tails when they take human form; looking for the tail, perhaps when the fox gets drunk or careless, is a common method of discerning the creature's true nature. A particularly devout individual may even be able to see through a fox's disguise merely by perceiving them. Kitsune can also be exposed while in human form by their fear and hatred of dogs, and some become so rattled by their presence that they revert to the form of a fox and flee.

One folktale illustrating these imperfections in the kitsune's human shape concerns Koan, a historical person later credited with legendary wisdom and magical powers of divination. According to the story, he was staying at the home of one of his devotees when he scalded his foot entering a bath because the water had been drawn too hot. Then, "in his pain, he ran out of the bathroom naked. When the people of the household saw him, they were astonished to see that Koan had fur covering much of his body, along with a fox's tail. Then Koan transformed in front of them, becoming an elderly fox and running away."

Other supernatural abilities commonly attributed to kitsune include possession, generating fire or lightning, willful manifestation in the dreams of others, flight, invisibility, and the creation of illusions so elaborate as to be almost indistinguishable from reality. Some tales speak of kitsune with even greater powers, able to bend time and space, drive people mad, or take fantastic shapes such as an incredibly tall tree or a second moon in the sky. Other kitsune have characteristics reminiscent of vampires or succubi, and feed on the life or spirit of human beings

Supernatural abilities attributed to the mythological nine-tailed fox include possession, morphing, fire/lightning magic, dreamwalking, flight, invisibility, illusions, ect. LeopardCloud was sure he had seen one as a kit, the indescribable red fox with nine tails. He had watched it morph into a she-cat right in front of him, before the kitsune had bounded away.

Cat Name: Sparrow's feather drifting across the stream
Gender: Female
Rank: Prey-Hunter
Clan: The Tribe Of Brisk Winds
Age: 14 Moons
Prompt:
Her favorite myth is the white deer that is said to roam the forest surrounding the tribe's territory that supposedly led the founder of the tribe, Rabbit that burrows below, to the meadow where the tribe now resides.
Rabbit has told the story many times, It was the largest deer she's ever seen and the sight of it's massive antlers tempted her to flee in fear it'd attack but it's pure white coat and wise eyes made her stay in place. When it started to move something deep within her was pushing her to follow it and so she did, her legs started to feel sore but she kept pushing forward refusing to lose sight of the deer. However, when she pushed passed a bush, the deer had seemingly vanished and she was now standing right outside of the tribes current territory. Despite Rabbit herself promising that the myth is true, no other cat has seen the white deer and have only seen the brown and white deer that sometimes graze on the grass within the territory. Rabbit also claims that it's the reason they do not hunt fawn, well that and the fact when the mother is near by they could greatly wound a cat.

Cat Name: Finchgrowl
Gender: male
Rank: Gyrfalcon [senior warrior]
Clan: CaladiumClan
Age: 36 moons
Prompt:

Once upon a time there lived a Condor. He was the king of the sky. Yet, he lived alongside the tanagers [humans]. What they offered, he took. In return, he gave them life and entertainment.

Now, one day, the gods called the Condor. "Oh, great king," they cried. "You are the strongest mortal. We will send others to serve under you, and you will lead our felines to greatness!"

"No," the king Condor refused. "My place is with the tanagers. They are mine, as your felines are yours. I do not want them."

The gods grew angry, and the next time the Condor left his camp, they trapped him in never-ending woods. For days, the Condor wandered around. When he finally escaped the forest, he ran straight home, only to see his camp destroyed and subjects gone.

"Now you have no choice," the gods taunted. "You will do as we ask. You are nothing, wretched Condor—nothing!"

The once-king seethed, and so he declared. "I will never listen. Yes, I will take your people; however, they shall be mine. They shall never hear even a whisper of you."

And so, whenever you see a condor flying across the land, know that he was once king, and treat him with respect. Do not hunt his prey, or harm his chicks. The Condor forsakes the stars, and so shall we follow. We—the Caladium—are his lost subjects. In time, we will grow in number and power, and when the Condor strikes down the sun, we will own the world.
