What are umikuris?
Umikuris (umi from the japanese word for sea and kuri from the first half of kuriōne) are a sea slug/human hybrid race living all across the world! They’re amphibious so they can survive on both land and sea, and come from many different walks of life!

They all feature some sort of glass limb system, and these liquid-filled limbs can be filled with liquids of all colours and forms! This phenomenon is still being researched, but the sheer variety of what can be found within these limbs and other traits means every umikuri is unique!

Recently they’ve decided to make contact with humans, so why don’t you take a dive and meet some of them yourself? Maybe one’ll take a liking to you!

Ambition:: Meiri, along with his brothers, were born in fulfillment to a prophecy: that one of them would end the long war with the neighboring nation. This was the message he received since he could comprehend words, and taking it to heart, he searched for ways to support his kingdom, before finding a talent for military strategy and leadership. Now the youngest and most successful general in Eliou, Meiri believes he is the one chosen to end the war, and aims to crush the enemy, and conquer more land for the nation.

However, things changed when the gods blessed the youngest brother, a scholar and recluse, to be the one from the prophecy. Meiri couldn't understand it; he had done more against the neighbor than this youngest son, so why isn't he the one that will end things? How was a scholar better than him, a commander and conqueror? Meiri's goal remained: end the war through military force. But his reasoning changed, sharpened: from demonstrating he is the best candidate for the prophecy, to proving that the gods had chosen wrong.

He's sick of seeing the same old things on the catwalks and the more bizarre things that nobody other than the rabid snob fans would enjoy, so Rai intends to take the world by storm. Not only will his clothes be famous everywhere, but they'll also be of good quality without making wallets scream in anguish due to the price. Half of those so-called designer clothes fall apart within a week of being owned anyway. There will be so no "sweat pants" in his fashion lines thank you very much.

Ambition:: Adiano's greatest ambition is to become the admiral of his own ship, the SV Tenebris (named in advance by yours truly). Part of a once renouned seafaring family, he feels compelled to travel around the world in search of... well, anything that calls to him, and restore his family's reputation in the meantime. Adiano has been saving up his sand dollars for a grand vessel, and spends his evenings drafting recruitment flyers and forms to mail around when the time comes to assemble a crew. Despite not being of an official rank yet, Adiano even dresses the part of an admiral to 'prepare', though his siblings tease him relentlessly for being so fixated on this goal. Adiano shrugs off their comments, however, because the reason he is so driven to sail a ship of his own is because he wants to be the one to fill his father's shoes. He knows that his brothers and sisters would stop making fun of him if he told them this, but he says he doesn't have time to spare for empathy, and doesn't want them to feel too ashamed either. His father's similar ambition to sail freely in search of adventure was what led to his disappearance years ago, but Adiano believes it is his turn to step up and let go of the sentiments that make the rest of his family reluctant to live a life on the seas.
