Writing - Well, most likely he would survive by hunting small critters like rabbits, lizards, small birds and the like. I bet he wouldn't like taking down big game unless he was in a group, so he would prefer living that way. He probably also might like caves, so perhaps he'd live in one like that. I think he'd like clearings as well, because he loves running and feels crowded by small areas.
