Mimi was born in the early morning in the pasture. Her original owners weren't rich so they didn't have a barn but her mama went to gave birth on a bed of flowers near an old oak tree close to the owners house. They heard the commotion and quickly went out to see what was going on. To their surprise they saw a gorgeous little filly that looked very much healthy. The family loved her so much and ended up training her to be part of their cart team around 2 years of age. Later on when her team and her where at a competition for the first time she felt like she really belonged out in the ring. A show barn had their eye on her the hole time during the event and ended up giving the family an offer for her. The family ended up agreeing and sold her to the show barn where they eventually trained her for combined driving. With her temperament being so gentle and calm they also have her as a intermediate/advanced horse for when they get riders who know the basics and are ready to start the next level of their training.

Stormy was only five months old when he was sent to an auction house. He did not have great genes, so was of no use to the place where he was bred. Fortunately, he was only a day away from being turned into McDonalds when an older woman stopped by. She had greyish hair, and wore cowgirl boots and jeans. He immediately perked his ears up at her. She turned her head and smiled as he made a low nickering noise. It was love at first sight. This lady, Ms. Reynolds, walked up to the auctioneer and said, "This one." He frowned and said, "500, ma'am." She laid the money flat in his palm, and walked away.

It was only five years after when Ms. Reynolds' heart failed. She had issues revolving around her heart, and had survived until now. She had just been reading a book outside Stormy's stall when she fell to the ground clutching at her heart. Stormy started panicking pacing around his stall. He smelled death.

Luckily, Ms. Reynolds' son was stopping by that day. He walked into the barn when his beloved mother was not in her rocking chair, per usual. He closed his eyes, hoping and praying she was alive. But deep, deep down, he knew there was no chance.

After this experience, Ms. Reynolds' son sent Stormy to Cupido Drafts. He knew Stormy was a solid draft horse, and knew they would be willing to take him in. He was right, they welcomed Stormy with warm arms. Nowadays, Stormy spends his time frolicking through pastures with the other horses at Cupido Drafts. He is just waiting for the right owner to come take him home.
