I always enjoyed whenever the orange cat visited. Lunatic, that’s how I describe my chipmunks. However she was far from it. At first it was off putting, she believed in nurture while we believed in nature. We let our younglings (I suppose I would fall under this category as I was but only a child when she first appeared) run free and if they never came back they never came back. But this orange cat civilized us, even when the other woodland creatures thought it couldn’t be done. Brush your bushy tails, groom your whiskers, set the examples for all of the forest. Everyone thoughts she was a nuisance. Telling us what to do and all. But as time went on and with her patience we quit being the true nuisances of the forest. With our little suits of nature we became little gentlemen and we left our antiquate ways of chucking acorns at the heads of deer behind. She disappeared once we adapted, and somehow we carry on.
