their "lucky charm":

December's lucky charm is this except the nose ring part is an upside down triangle and the earring part is bigger and more rounded. Xe got it from a very close family friend; xe considered her a mentor. Xe would spend the days with her, learning about life, learning about innate magics in the world and how to sense it's presence. One day, xyrs mentor simply disappeared, leaving behind the lucky charm with a note explaining that life always goes forward and to not be sad, to cherish her memory and take this lucky charm. To always be thankful for the happy memories they both shared together so often. The note also said the charm was enchanted in such a way as to help negative energy calm easier, though it wouldn't be able to ward it off completely. Xe was sad for a long time, but learned to appreciate xyrs memories of xyrs mentor rather than be in mourning over her disappearance. Xe always wears xyrs lucky charm now, smiling when other Kels ask about it, and explains that it was a gift from a beloved mentor who taught xem the most important lesson xe ever learned.

their "lucky charm": Astrophel, about two years ago, received a dagger that was passed down to him from his grandfather after he passed away. Apparently, it was originally forged by his great great grandfather and has been passed down to all of the family's sons for safe-keeping and to show honor. The moment Astrophel carefully drew it from its sheath and saw just how many details, mostly stars, were carefully engraved into the blade by hand, he fell in love with it.

It wasn't until a year later when he drew the blade outdoors, just out of curiosity, and noticed that it perfectly matched a certain part of the sky. He noticed that the stars in the blade were actually engraved to match the constellation Cancer. His family had always been fond of stars and his great great grandfather had been dying of cancer at the time of forging it; perhaps he saw it as something that his family could remember him by. From that moment on, Astrophel had gained both a family heirloom, that he swore to take care of, and a new favorite constellation.
