It's drinkable. Nothing more. It's far superior to milk, since it keeps me fit and not plump. But I don't want to, well, swim in it. One thing I've noticed is sometimes, when it's very hot, everyone goes crazy and starts pouring water everywhere. I'm not interested, thanks. Rain I can deal with, but literally choosing to dunk my head in water? Excuse me, that would ruin my fur!

I've already got a permanent link to this liquid in my awful name itself - Nanami means sea, did you know? Of course, it means beauty too. That, at least, is accurate. Either way, I like ocean water even less. All that salt and it's not even good for drinking! It tastes utterly horrific. And apparently it makes you even thirstier, like drinking your own pee. Zuzu tried to do that once - disgusting, right? But then, what can you expect from a dog.

Oh, and the dogs all love water. Daisy, Fern and Zuzu all adore springing around manically in the spray of a hose, or splashing in puddles, or dodging the waves at the beach, or even full-on getting in the sea and swimming. Sheesh, I feel kinda left out back here. But I can't destroy my fur's quality with saltwater! Daisy's luscious locks are stiff with salt as she dries, and ah! the sand, it sticks to her!

I only have one alley in my vendetta against water. Dolphin, despite having a blatantly ocean-related name as well, can't stand it. Everyone understands his excuse, of course: he's hairless, so clearly swimming would be far too cold. Yeah, like that totally explains why you can't bear to touch hot water. But I can't be too picky about allies here, for there aren't a lot of options. At all.

Who doesn't love water? If you don't you are absolutely insane! I love to play with water whenever my humans start to use it. Sometimes I even meow at the sink because I want them to turn it on. Sadly that mostly leads me to be yelled at but that never stops me. I enjoy joining them in the shower feeling the warm water wash over me. It just is the most calming feeling I've ever felt in my life. From time to time they even let me outside in the rain. Mostly because I'll paw and meow at the door tell they let me outside. On hot days they even fill up a little pool for me. I enjoy getting to swim in the water and play with my humans in it. Yes, I could simply just drink the water but what is the fun in that. When there are so many other things you can do with it.

But if it is raining, pushed into it, or he just doesn’t want to get into it, then he hates it. He will do everything in his power to get out or away from the water. The first time his owner found this out, he was taken in from the wild and had to have a bath. Only, he did NOT want a bath. He was going insane, yelling, clawing, biting, flailing, and yelling. He alarmed some of the other cats because of how loud he was being. The next week, he did something none of the others expected. He tried to get in the water while another cat was getting a bath. He ultimately helped, calming the cat down, but nobody understood why. When they asked, he said that he loved water. However, by watching him they realized that part of his personality was that he liked to do things on his turn. So he loves water on his turn. It makes sense, even if it is annoying to everyone else. Well, did you know that there are two kinds of water? There is still water, like in the humans bathtub or in the water bowl, or even in ponds outside. And then there is moving water. Rain for example or a shower. Lyra loves still water. She even jumps into the bathtub sometimes. She knows how to swim and doesnt have a problem with it at all. But when it Comes to moving water... Never ever try to shower that poor little Ori. She hates water from above. Nothing is worse. Seriously. She will Scratch and bite and try to escape at any cost. So the trick is easy. Fill the bathtub and put in a rubber duck. Lyra will be in there in no time, and you can easily clean her.
