Lion name: Ilinca "torch"
Lion gender: female
Pride: Lions of the Waves
Pride status: hunter
Prompt:
Ilinca paused in her walk through the woods. She could hear a faint sound, almost like someone singing. Actually, it was someone singing. Curious, the lioness adjusted her steps, rolling her paws slightly in order for her steps to be silent as she followed the sound. She ducked through some bushes, peering between their leaves. Huh, nothing. It sounded as though the singing was right here. Ilinca tilted her head back, and sure enough, up in the trees she spotted Topi. The light brown-grey lioness was lounging on a tree branch, singing a song, eyes closed.
"You have a nice voice," Ilinca called up when Topi paused, "I didn't know you could sing."
Topi's eyes snapped open, and she looked around wildly for whomever had spoken. Upon spotting Ilinca sitting below, Topi leapt down from her branch and had the lioness pinned against a tree before she could react.
"Why are you spying on me?" Topi demanded.
Ilinca huffed. "I'm not spying on you, I heard someone singing and came to investigate."
Topi barred her teeth. "You better not tell anyone I can sing."
"Why not?" Ilinca smirked. "I'm sure everyone would love to know that Tough Guy Topanga spends her time singing in the trees like a forest fairy. Want a flower crown and some sparkles?"
Topi leaned in closer, a growl in her throat. "If you tell anyone, I will end you."
"Chill, princess. I couldn't care less whether anyone knows that you can sing, and I dunno why you care either. But fine, I won't tell anyone. You done threatening me now?"
Topi huffed, but released Ilinca. "Sometimes, I really wanna throw you in the sea."
"The feeling is mutual, princess." The orange and black lioness shook herself. "But I meant what I said, you have a nice voice."
Topi wrinkled her nose. "Ugh, stop."
"What, the compliment too sweet and sappy for the queen of sass?"
"You're insufferable."
"It's my specialty."
