"Well, Lark says that he was walking around the territory near the Human Ruins. He saw a black cat, and the next day- BOOM! He drowned while trying to catch a fish!"
Asphalt was silent. Crimson hissed softly from where she was hiding. Stupid wolves and their stupid superstitions.
"Wow. Wait, how do you know this?"
"Lark told me. It was horrendous."
"Idiots," she muttered. "It was pure luck! Or... a mere coincidence?"
"Who's there?" Boulder growled, looking around. Crimson ducked lower in the bush she was hiding in.
"It w-was probably nothing," Asphalt stammered.
"I smell cat," the dark gray wolf said, calming himself.
"Oh, good. Come out!" Asphalt called, her lighter gray tail swishing the ground.
"Hello," Crimson said as she popped out of the bushes.
"AAAAAa!!" they both screamed. Running and yipping away, they tripped over themselves.
"Don't curse us!" Boulder whined.
"Yeah, we never did anything!" Asphalt chimed in.
Sighing, Crimson padded away. Were these wolves really this stupid, or did she have bad luck?
