He gets impatient easily, and can rush into things too strong, his training is still in progress, but he requires a more experienced rider to work with, otherwise he will quickly overpower them and do what he wishes, when he wishes. He is headstrong and determined to work, though that isn't always the work you want of him. Sylvaine has been passed between a few trainers, a few owners, a few stables, before landing where he is now, as he has proven to be quite a handful. He was brought to VHEC as a last resort, hoping this beautiful and talented horse can be helped to learn some restraint, some control over his need to go, go, go. No one wishes to see him or any one else get injured again due to it.
It is hard to chill him out, to convince him it is not time to work and instead time to relax, but when that does happen, Sylvaine is gentle and soft, trustworthy enough around children and small animals as long as he is closely watched and not allowed to excite. His playful modes aren't as dangerous as his work modes, but he is large, and he can get a bit out of hand sometimes.
He responds well in hand, though, only a soft touch is needed to tell him what to do, it's just a matter of being firm with that ask, and giving him time to calm and think it through, so training is slow going, but he is highly intelligent and the more experience he gets with higher experienced riders, the less he thinks he can get away with.
