Why those are their favorite:

Lotus - the lotus reminds her to stay calm and serene in the heat of the moment. Sometimes when someone upsets you, it’s hard to remember to stay calm and not lash out. With all that anger boiling inside of you, sometimes you need a reminder to relax. Since the lotus flower represents inner peace and calm, Liliana remembers the lotus flower in these moments and it reminds her to take a deep breath, step back, and put herself in other’s shoes. This helps her strengthen bonds and friendships with her friends and family and remain calm in these times of anger.

Sphynx - the calm sleeping cat reminds her that it is okay to relax and take breaks when you need them, and not to push yourself past your limit. Sometimes when Liliana has a lot of responsibilities and work to do, she forgets about her needs and overworks herself. That makes her irritable and tired, and deprived of her needs. The sleeping cat reminds her to take a break, go get some food and water, watch an episode of her favourite TV show, and then go back to her work afterwards. This way she is friendlier to the people around her daily.

Brag - the phrase on the pin reminds her that every accomplishment, no matter how small, deserves to be commemorated and celebrated. Sometimes, on certain days, Liliana feels really down and doesn’t even want to get out of bed in the morning. Most of her friends and family do not understand how much of an achievement this is for her on these days. The pin reminds her that it IS an accomplishment, even if others tell her it isn’t, and she SHOULD be proud of herself for small things. Over time, small things turn into big things, and then even bigger things.

puptarts - a dear friend once got lucia this puptart pin for her birthday, saying it reminded them of her. of course, lucia loved it... something that would always remind her of her beloved friend and how much they meant to her, even if they ever drifted apart.

violets - flowers have always fascinated lucia, but violets have always been her most favorite of all... for many reasons, but mostly for their symbolism, and their use of imagery... lucia considers herself a very poetic person, and dreams of becoming a poet one day, so the symbolism is not lost on her; it's definitely intentional.

van gogh whale - while never being much an artist herself, lucia has always admired art from afar, especially that of painters like van gogh. while everyone always says they like van gogh, his works happen to be a special interest of lucia's, so she knows a lot more about them than the typical person would. she admires the emotions put into his art, and finds drawn to them for their colors and shapes. lucia also has a special interest in the ocean and marine life, so this pin is a double win for her ♡

Cat Bun - Just like all good lesbians, Sasha has an obsession with cats. This one reminds her of her cat Callie, her childhood kitty that has been around since she was born and still hangs out with her. Callie is her best friend.

Ramen - Growing up in an Asian household, Sasha has always held onto parts of her culture. The main thing she loves the most is the food, especially the ramen her mother makes almost every single day of the week for dinner. Despite having so much of the noodles so often, Sasha can't get enough of the good home-cooked meal and always craves more.

Art is something Yui has always loved. From her childish scribbles to her now beautiful masterpieces. Her mother always encouraged her and praised her on her art, because of this, she's chased her dream of becoming an artist. Upon getting into art school her mother gave her this pin. It was her very first and it means the most to her out of her thousands of pins.

Honeybee Conservancy
Yui thinks bees are adorable. When she bought the pin, some of the money was donated to save the bees! There are so many things honeybees do for us, give us honey and flowers, inspire us, and so much more! Our world would be insanely different without the sweet bees. She loves to keep them in her mind and on her bag.

My Universe Is You
This pin was a rejected gift to a crush of Yui's. The pin was a source of sadness and dread for a long time. The girl she gave it to was disgusted by Yui's sexuality. It is a reminder that not everyone will accept her. This pin has made her cry many a times, but she continues to keep it on her bag. She hopes one day that she can be able to ignore all the homophobia in the world. Yui's getting stronger every single day.

When she and her older brother Shannon were younger, it was tradition that every Halloween their parents would take them to the local pumpkin harvest festival. She has very fond memories of miniature train rides, corn mazes, and pumpkin spice hot chocolates; still a favorite today. They siblings would always end up with whipped cream moustaches - something they still do on purpose now to make each other laugh - and this pin acts as another reminder of those childhood memories.

Most people are surprised when they learn that she's part of a knitting group, but not so when they hear that she's the youngest member. Knitting has always been a passion for her, the skills passed down from her grandmother, and she loves the satisfaction of being able to create clothing from wool and yarn. She makes a lot of her own clothing, namely sweaters and scarves. Friends and family know to expect homemade presents, but they like they're special. More knitted clothing goes to charity, and she likes thinking that her creations could be making a difference for someone.

Willa has always had a passion and love for music; her parents were very glad when she moved on from the 'primary school recorder' phase. She knows basic guitar and xylophone - an odd one, yes - but more than playing music, she just loves listening to it. She shares this love with Juno, Shannon's partner, so they get along swimmingly and often perform impromptu duets. Her prized possession is probably her record player, and though it doesn't look like the gramophone pin, she loves how the pin looks and what it represents.
