Enyo loves her little sister more than anything. Although Willa died many years ago from a disease, Enyo fights every day with her sister in her heart, holding her close always. The two had been born only about a year apart and had always been close with Enyo always wanting to protect her sister due to Willa being born frail and unwell. She initially pulled through, much to Enyo's delight, but her sickness haunted her and Death finally claimed her years later.
Enyo had never loved anyone or anything more than her sister because she was the only one to listen to her, the only one who supported her during the rigorous training in becoming an Archer of The Crown. They had that close connection that twins have, but with an age difference, giving them an unbreakable bond that has managed to persist beyond death.

Enyo is a sweet soul, if not just a little lost in the world. She is the daughter of the butcher and his wife and grew up wanting to make more of a name for herself. She wanted to become a soldier for the crown, specifically an archer. While it isn't uncommon for females to fulfil the roles of soldiers, but it is uncommon that they ever get further than usual foot soldiers.
Enyo grew up having a pretty usual childhood, but it became quickly became harder and more confusing when Willa was born. Since her younger sister had seemingly been cursed by the gods, Enyo felt it to be her duty to protect Willa, and it certainly dwindled her belief and faith in the gods, quickly making her a social outcast. This didn't bother Enyo much, the only company she needed was Willa...
Enyo began her training to become a soldier, specifically wanting to specialise in archery, just as Willa's health began to deteriorate further. Enyo found this to be the thing that influenced her most in the final push of training. Willa died only days before Enyo became officially an Archer of the Crown. Her death utterly crushed Enyo, but when she was sure that she saw Willa at her ceremony, something strange lit up inside of her, and some odd new faith in the gods was rekindled: Maybe Willa was happier where she was, and maybe she wasn't truly gone.
As an Archer of the Crown, Enyo has the duty of commanding lower-ranking bowmen and organising watches along the twoers and walls of the keep, since it is primarily manned by archers due to them having ranged weapons. She is well respected and seen as some sort of a hero amongst her lowers, as well as a symbol to other girls within the realm that becoming a high-ranking member of a kingdom isn't down to birth-right or whether you're a male.

Ezra is the young prince of the realm and, while he was born to rule, he has never wanted anything more than to escape and live a peaceful life somewhere far from the castle and his duties. Although this is his dream, Ezra is a natural peacemaker, easily defusing tense situations, and even managing to settle disputes between kingdoms. While he does not want to rule, he is destined to, and this terrifies him. To deal with this, Ezra tries his best to see it more as an opportunity to better the kingdoms so that others can achieve their goals and dreams. The high-life of royalty is never what he wanted, so instead of moping and complaining, Ezra is doing everything he can within his power to help the world become a better, more economically and socially beneficial for all. Because his dream is so different from what everyone wants from him, Ezra is stuck feeling lonely and scared, but these are the same emotions that push him to do better for the kingdom.

Ezra is a kind young prince. While his ambitions seem quaint and small, for him they are a million miles away. Dreams of living a simple life are nearly impossible for Ezra, but deep down he still holds onto that hope, that goal. However, this dream is what has caused Ezra most of his grief; he is a prince, destined to rule, and can't just quit that responsibility to become a farmer in some distant land unknown to the Realm. While he cannot go and achieve these goals, he does try his best to fulfil the goals, dreams and aspirations of the people within the realm.
In his youth, Ezra was a playful young fauna, naive to his responsibilities and just enjoying his life. He loved spending time out within the keep and later the kingdom, just playing with normal people of the kingdom. He had never really understood why everyone treated him so differently. Sure he was the prince, but what did that mean? As he grew up, Ez noticed how he was truly on his own, excluded from understanding the hardships and joys of trying to survive each day off your own back. These people were essentially paying for him yo live, and although they seemed very much pleased to do so, it never sat right with Ezra and so his dream was built up.
Since this dream involved not becoming king, Ezra had every intention of denying the crown and escaping, but one thing stopped him from just escaping from his problems, from his distaste of being powerful and superior and different: there were people who lived that life every day, struggled, suffered, loved and sang and enjoyed life, and those people wanted his life. This kept Ezra from abandoning his role because if he did that, he would abandon them too, and that wasn't fair, he wanted to make their lives better, too.

Cahir can remember being blinded. He wasn't born blind, and he wasn't injured to blindness, he was cursed. Cahir was a noble, honourable knight of the Guard when an altercation with a Sorcerer left he cursed to be sight-less. Cahir thought it was the end for him, he was a battle-worn warrior, scarred, broken and now blind. His soldiers managed to aid him back home where he was taken to the Healer to see if their magick could restore his sight, but to no avail, he was permanently blind.
While this initially left Cahir feeling destroyed, empty and powerless - lazing around and being useless within the Keep made Cahir feel even worse, and when his self-pity turned to self-hatred, he decided he had to do something. The road to recovery was tough: nothing like recovering from his more physical injuries. He had to relearn how to do simple things and how to rely on his other senses. It was a long, gruelling and oftentimes emotionally draining task, but Cahir soon learnt how to survive on his own, and then how to fight. Sure enough, a weapon was back within his grasp and he was ready to battle. His status as a knight had not been revoked, but his place within the Guard had - there was no way a blind knight could survive in any war - but Cahir appealed and repealed to the ruler for his right to at least teach trainee knights and brandish the mark of a Guardsman. His persistence paid off, and Cahir is once again one of the most revered knights in the realm and, although everyone advises against it, he has every ambition to get back put into the fields of war and take his revenge on the sorcerer who cursed him.
ฮฑฮทััะฝฮนฮทg ัโัั?
There are very few simple ways to describe Cahir - a damaged hero, broken warrior, battle-scarred soldier - but they also seem to certain about who he became after his curse, and not who he really is.
In reality, Cahir is a loyal, persistent, kind, openhearted and brave knight. Those are too many words to make for a quick passing nickname, but I like to think of him as simply, Sir Cahir: his true title and the only one that he needs.
Cahir was an odd faunling (or so most who met him thought) because he was quiet and preferred to read than to go out and tussle with the others. His obsession with books often left him filled with wonder at the outside world, but instead of going out to explore it, he would return to the archives to find more books and manuscripts that would aid him on his journey to knowledge. While this is very far from how Cahir ended up, it is an important part of his personality.
Upon his coming-of-age, Cahir was forced to sign up to become a soldier, something asked of strong, young fauns if numbers are running low. Cahir didn't want to join the force, he was scared and fairly untrained, having spent his life buried in books rather than practice fighting with his peers, but duty called.
At the start of his war-life, Cahir was not particularly popular amongst the other recruits due to him being quiet, inexperienced and seemed to mostly just mope around. Despite this, Cahir quickly gained the skills of a gifted soldier, soon becoming as skilled, if not more skilled, than his colleagues and managed to climb the ranks. After only his first battle, Cahir had risen to the rank of Lieutenant of a small regiment.
As he continued to lead his regiment to victory, the honours and new titles kept piling upon Cahir. Along with this praise came the bodily scars and mental scars, but also the highs of finally feeling like he belonged somewhere like he had a family within the army. Before he knew it, Cahir had risen to the rank of knight. Who he had been as a faunling seemed to have been long since forgotten and he was someone new, someone to be respected and looked up to, It felt good.
Then it happened... It was a battle like any other, they had faced down dozens of sorcerers, and this was going just as well as any other until Cahir got separated, trapped by the sorceress. She was cruel and didn't hesitate in cursing Cahir, taking away his sight and removing his ability to do the thing he had grown to love, and certainly stopping him from doing his original passion. He would be isolated, locked inside his mind with no escape. Despite her best efforts, Cahirpercerviered and regained his stays and his passion, and certainly has every intention of exacting his revenge...
